Levi was also one of the twelve tribes, even though they would not appear on the map because they didn't receive any land as an inheritance.

Ephraim and Manasseh were both sons of Joseph, one of the twelve brothers. So that's why there's still 12 despite the tribe of Levi not receiving any land.

Levi was a priestly tribe, so it didn't receive any land.

Nice quiz! I think you could be a bit more lenient with type-ins though. For example, I tried "Naphthali" for "Naphtali"--I don't know necessarily if you think it should be acceptable, but I only added one letter so it'd be nice if you considered it. Similarly, you could add "Judea" as a type-in for "Judah."

I will allow Naphthali for Naphtali, but Judea and Judah are two completely different things.

as a jew who only reads the hebrew bible i was totaly mixed up with the anglisized version of their names.

please include the hebrew transliteration:

Reuven, Shimon, Yehuda or Yehudah, Yissachar, Zevulun, Naftali, Yosef, Binyomin or Binyaminm, Efraim, Menashe .
