Interesting, I'd be curious to know where Algeria sits on this list. It is such a large country, and as far as I know most of the country's population is on the coast.

Kinda crazy how South Sudan makes the list but not Sudan considering its' geography is pretty similar to Egypt but it has less than half the population and more than double the area

So Niger did not make it and currently more populated than Mali? Well, that population growth is too much. There are no resources, only sand and stones. Demographic disaster in the making.

It's interesting to me that Botswana is so empty. In my mind Botswana has always been a super-populated country.
