Napoli is the Italian name of Naples, the latin (and greek) one was Neapolis

Also - I don't know how relevant this is really - there were dozens of places called Mediolanum, including Saintes, Évreux, Whitchurch, Châteaumeillant and all the rest. I hope they are all type-ins (although to be fair I suppose they are not all cities, which you do specify)
