Def Leppard started out as a NWOBHM band. Alice Cooper, Slipknot, Van Halen, Led Zep and AC/DC aren't metal though, as good as some of them are.

Yeah I agree with you, They are more Hard Rock than anything. and I think Def Leppard can go either way.

Slipknot is nu-metal and its inclusion is fine. The rest are just hard rock
