Curiosity: Kelly Slater not only holds the record of 11 WSL championships, 5 of which were consecutive titles, but he is also the youngest (at age 20) and the oldest (at age 39) to win the WSL men's title. He is also the oldest surfer to perform a ten-point ride in World Surf League competition, at age 47 at the 2019 Billabong Pipe Masters, and the oldest person to ever win an event of the WSL CT, at 2022 Billabong Pro Pipeline, at age 49, just six days before his 50th birthday.
