There's no direct flight from London to Auckland. They haven't invented a plane with a big enough petrol tank yet! I suspect the same is also true for Australian destinations.

Direct flights and non-stop flights are not the same thing. Stopovers are allowed on direct flights, but not on non-stop ones.

For example, EVA Air flight 68 is London-Bangkok-Taipei. You can travel to Taipei from London sitting in the same seat. This is direct flight because flight number for both LHR-BKK and BKK-TPE legs are same, EVA68 (or BR68 depends on which system you want). However, this is not non-stop because you stop once in Bangkok.

The flight stops at singapore for about 2-5 hours depending on the flight before it takes off for australia or new zealand.

I flew direct from London Heathrow to Entebbe, Uganda to do a safari a few years ago so that's one country you should add.
