This is outdated. Swaziland is now Eswatini. Also, the Y in Vatican City is a vowel.

The y at the end of every country in this list is a vowel, it should at least be explicitly stated that y always counts as a consonant in the quiz. Also, agreed with Swaziland, if they want to keep it, it should be pre-filled in.

No to Germany, Hungary, Italy, and Vatican City: Y is a vowel in those names. Swaziland is now Eswatini. Missing Ivory Coast.

What about St. Kitts and St. VIncent? And, yes, the Swaziland should be updated to Eswatini.

The full names of St. Kitts and St. Vincent, as written in the Countries of the World Quiz, are St. Kitts and Nevis and St. Vincent and the Grenadines.

In that case, UK should be included because its full name ends with the word "Ireland".

The name "as written in Countries of the World" does not mean "its full name".

It's a pretty common site standard that should be pretty obvious for someone who is level 73, especially considering all the hints present, i.e. what gets filled in when you type a correct answer and the presence of the Vatican City State and the Italian Republic.

Why would you always consider Y a vowel for this quiz? If it makes a vowel sound like “E”, then it’s a vowel in that country name. Germany ends in a vowel.

Surprisingly hard once you run out of countries ending in -land .....

All these people bleating about "Y": read the instructions. Thanks for the quiz mate.

Pretty sure that instruction was only added in recently, it says the quiz was updated just over 2 weeks ago, which is after most of the comments about the Y.

That is possible. Thank you. I think I just like checking back with people who whine and whinge when they have been on here years and never/hardly ever contribute their own quizzes. ATB

Makes as much sense as adding a caveat, "For the purposes of this quiz, M is considered a vowel." There is a reason that Y is sometimes considered a vowel and sometimes considered a consonant. In all of these country names, Y is a vowel because if it were a consonant, the names would be unpronounceable.

I also think Ivory Coast should be in. Missed NZE... Great quiz!

Honestly, either you should put the Ivory Coast as an answer or grey-fill in Côte d'Ivoire at the start so people know you aren't going to accept it.
