Agree. The instructions should be changed from "primarily located on . . . continent" to "Jetpunk standard continent" . . . or "majority of population primarily located on . . . continent". Russia is a European country which is primarily located in Asia.
Did it on a phone, it sucked, kept having to realign the columns every time I answered. Cool quiz and thanks, but would recommend doing this one on the laptop
Cool quiz . I did this on a phone and it was OK .just scroll to see your last answer to see the continent. It's also easy to scroll across to the next one.
Arggh! It's weird: something that would be quite easy if it worked downward, continent by continent, becomes much more challenging moving across, letter by letter.
Missed Asia "E" because I'm used to typing Timor-Leste. Also missed Oceania "M" because Federated states of Micronesia doesnt count (but marshall islands does)
I was stressing halfway through bcuz I thought I was running out of time but also forgot that there are less countries in the second half alphabetically
No idea why but 99% time I intend to type East Timor it comes out "Eat Timor". Same thing when I try to type Michael. It comes out "Micahel". Amazing how difficult it is to retrain your brain to do an unconscious task.
It’s teh for the for me. Autocorrect doesn’t even try and change it anymore. Hell, it doesn’t even red underline it. It gets really annoying when you’re trying to send a formal email or something and you have to scan it for tehs.
It's not really like how the Netherlands isn't called Holland, it's more like how Türkiye isn't called Turkey. Except, to state the obvious........ it is.
Ugh I thought the "i" in Africa had to be a prank... I took this untimed and got every one except for that. I was thinking of Ivory Coast's UN name, Côte d'Ivoire.
I hate hate HATE the placement here. I never work in this order! Can this be rearranged to be in Common Map Order? (which is the Mercator projection, even though it has confused generations of Americans).
North America - South America - Europe - Africa - Asia - Oceania. I had to to this by the continents singularly to get through this quiz since the order is so bizarre.
I would have gone three times as fast if it went alphabetically down through each continent rather than going geographically through each letter. I sometimes do the Countries of the World by saying a country for A, for B, C, etc., to make it more challenging, so just listing an A, then B, then C for Europe would be a cinch, but having to stop and think of what continent I was on now, and mentally jump around, took forever. I guess that means it was a good challenge!
omg my thing that i always do on jetpunk is forget countries that i could literally take a ferry to! once i had a world capital quiz and i forgot a singular answer and it was the capital i live in
I noticed the acronym for Central African Republic (CAR) was in the options after i finished the quiz but when I tried entering the full name, it wouldn't allow it as an answer.
Got them all, but I was wondering for Timor-Leste and Côte d'Ivoire
Could you please add a caveat saying that for countries that have another language in official name the informal English name is considered? Or is that already included by saying the names are the ones in the quiz Countries of the World?
micronesia should be accepted for M for oceania. If you google it, it is just called micronesia not just f.s. micronesia or federated states of micronesia. in the same way "congo" is generally accepted instead of democratic republic of congo.
When you reach the back of the table, the continents are no longer visible. May I suggest repeating the continents in a last row? Otherwise awesome quiz!
I had the idea earlier of this exact same quiz and came to check if it had been done.
You beat me by a few hours :)
Oh well, at least i'm starting to get some new ideas.
