Belgrad should be acceptable for Belgrade. I was bumping my head for minutes to figure out what is wrong with my knowledge :D

The original name is Bel (white) Grad (city).

It's complicated.

Birmingham is the most populous city in the UK unless you count the 31 metropolitan boroughs of London as one entity, in which case Birmingham is second. That's the common sense number we use.

By metro area, it's third after London and Manchester.

It's best to use official sources instead of third party sources like the site you linked.
