WWE Intercontinental or United States Championship?

Since 2001, there have been two secondary championships within WWE: the Intercontinental and (formerly NWA and WCW) United States titles. With there being two, their histories might get a little muddy, so here's a quiz to see if you know what's what between WWE's pair of secondary championships.
While the quiz mentions different aesthetic versions of each belt, the core answers to each still apply to one championship or the other, represented by the two most well known versions of each title.

Cena did this while holding the US title from '04 to '05.
2. Which championship did Jacob Fatu win at WrestleMania 41?
3. Matt Cardona, known in WWE as Zack Ryder has held both championships, but one of those, he held for just one day, winning at WrestleMania only to be defeated the very next night on RAW. Which championship was that?
Ryder won it in a multi-way ladder match at WrestleMania 32, only to be defeated by the Miz the next day.
4. Which was the first championship to be separately held by both a father and his son?
While the Hennigs (Curt and his son Joe, a.k.a Mr. Perfect and Curtis Axel), the Fatus (Rikishi and Jey Uso) and the Mysterios (Rey and Dominik) have since completed the feat with the IC title, the first to do so were Johnny and Greg Valentine, when Greg won the US title in 1982, seven years after his father's first and only reign.
5. "Ravishing" Rick Rude held each title once. Which reign was longer?
Rude's IC title reign lasted 148 days, his US title reign was 378 days.
6. Both championships have been held by members of the Rhodes family. Which (as of May 4th, 2025) title have the Rhodes' held the longest when their combined days as champion are totaled?
Father and son Dusty and Dustin Rhodes have a combined 398 days as US champion from their three respective reigns. Dustin (as Goldust) and Cody Rhodes' combined five reigns amount to 425 days as IC champions.
7. "Rowdy" Roddy Piper has held both championships, but which one did he win first?
Piper's only IC title win was in 1992. He's held the US title under both the NWA and WCW banners, with his first US title win coming in 1981, eleven years prior to his IC title.
8. As of May 4th, 2025, which championship has been the only one to be contested for in an elimination chamber match?
Daniel Bryan, the previous champion, was forced to vacate the title due to having suffered a concussion. Ryback won the match.
9. All three members of the Shield have the distinction of having held both titles at least once each, but which title was the first that any member of the Shield held?
Jon Moxley, then known as Dean Ambrose, was the first of the Shield to hold either title by winning the US Championship on May 19, 2013.
10. "Hacksaw" Jim Duggan has held only one of these titles. Which one was it?
Despite being best known for his upper-midcard WWE tenure from the late 80's to mid 90's, Duggan would not capture any championships in WWE during this time. He did win the US title in WCW in Sept. of '94, however.
11. Which title temporarily had co-champions that WWE no longer recognize?
Both Chyna and Chris Jericho were briefly considered co-champions after a double-pinfall in a match between the two where Jericho defended the IC title. Despite WWE recognizing it as a co-reign at the time, they have since rescinded that and instead refer to it as a vacancy that Jericho ended when he and Chyna had a winner-take-all match. With that retcon, Chyna is no longer considered a former IC champion by the WWE.
12. Steve Austin has held both championships multiple times. One of those reigns ended with him giving away the belt to his then-rival, only to blindside said rival and leave with the physical belt. He then hurled the belt off of a bridge and into a river. Which championship did that belt belong to?
The tossing of the IC belt took place on Dec. 8th, 1997 on RAW. Austin had made a successful defense the night before against the Rock, and was going to offer the Rock the championship on RAW, but instead, the above happened. The reason the angle was done this way was to introduce a new belt design for the IC title.
13. One of these championships had an instance where a champion was stripped of the title for failing to defend within 30 days. A new champion was crowned in the interim. When the former champion returned, he did so with a copy of the belt and declared that, as he had not been defeated, he was still the champion. The matter was put to rest in a ladder match with both copies of the belt hanging above the ring. Which championship is the one in question here?
The champion who was stripped of the title was Shawn Michaels, who in reality had failed a drug test for steroids. The interim champion was Razor Ramon, and the ladder match took place at WrestleMania X
14. If Bo Dallas, also known as Uncle Howdy, were to win one of these championships, his family would be the first to boast having members of three generations to hold that title. Which title would he need to win to accomplish this feat?
Bo Dallas, whose real name is Talyor Rotunda, is a member of the Windham wrestling family, starting with Robert Windham, known in the ring as Blackjack Mulligan. Mulligan's sons are wrestlers Barry and Kendall Windham, his son-in-law is Mike Rotunda, also known as IRS in WWE. Taylor and his late brother Duke, better known as Bray Wyatt, are the sons of Mike Rotunda and grandsons of Blackjack Mulligan. Blackjack Mulligan and his son Barry Windham (Taylor's uncle) have both been US champions.
15. During the second WWE brand split and its initial draft in 2016, which championship and its champion got drafted to SmackDown?
The Miz was champion at that time and he and the championship were drafted to the blue brand.
16. Greg "The Hammer" Valentine destroyed a physical belt by smashing it repeatedly against the side of a steel cage. What championship did that belt belong to?
Upon losing the IC title to Tito Santana in a steel cage match in 1985, Valentine responded by detroying the belt. In reality, this was a planned event as a means to introduce the new version of the IC title.
17. Which of these championships have been separately held by both Matt and Jeff Hardy?
While Jeff is a five time IC Champion, Matt Hardy has (as of May 4th, 2025) never held the IC championship. Both brothers have been US Champions.
18. At No Mercy 2002, Triple H, as World Heavyweight Champion, defeated Kane for Kane's championship in a match with both titles on the line. In winning, Triple H unified both championships, resulting in a six month stretch where the title that Kane had entered with was retired. Which championship was Kane holding when he lost to Triple H?
The US title had already been unified into the IC title and, inexplicably, WWE management decided that they didn't want either secondary title and folded them both into the World Heavyweight for a time. However, it was the IC title that Kane was champion of when the match took place.
19. At the Vengeance: Night of Champions pay-per-view event in 2007, all the active WWE championships were defended. Which title did a then-58-year-old Ric Flair unsuccessfully challenge for?
The defending champion was Montel Vontavious Porter, otherwise known as MVP.
20. Which championship, as of May 4th, 2025, has had the most Canadian champions?
