I am trying to make a big .svg file with world islands and a corresponding excel file where island names are assigned to shapes. I have started with the big islands. With this you could then make 'local' island quizzes etc. Does anyone want to help or have suggestions?!

There seem to be a lot of islands coloured yellow which aren't included - e.g, South Georgia, West Falkland

Yeah I kept trying to put in Trinidad, Long Island, etc. until I gave up to try and see what their actual name was, and I saw they stayed yellow.

I may be wrong, but Qeqertarsuaq is a town on Disko Island.

Correct and incorrect! I think they used the Greenlandic name for the island, which is also the city's name. It tells you that on the Wiki page for the island if you check :}

I agree about non-answers being yellow - very confusing. Having said that, this quiz absolutely rocks and has been duly nominated and spotlighted. More power to the Scambigol!

Not considered an island. It's a continent

If Australia is an island, then so is Afreurasia!

Yeah the non-answers being yellow make this quiz kinda stupid. It's not so fun to try to remember the names of all the little islands with no idea whether it's going to be big enough to get accepted. If only super teeny islands were also yellow, I could figure it out, but there are plenty of islands between 101-150 largest that are yellow here.

Guessing which islands is fine, guessing their names is fine, doing both at the same time is not so fine. If there were some way to like, click an island and reveal whether it were an answer, even that would work, but I don't know any way to do that.

Islands which aren't answers being yellow makes this nearly impossible...without the visual clue there's no point in having the map at all

Additionally to what others have said, it's confusing that many islands (some of the Caribbean islands, for example) were entirely removed. If all islands that did not qualify were removed from the map, that would be much clearer. Also, New Caledonia is not an island. The Island is Basseterre.

Good quiz, would be better if only islands that are answers are yellow. Nominated anyways.

The map cuts off a lot of the Pacific Islands - very confusing

Nice concept, needs some work - the yellow islands should only be for the answers that need to be input. And please accept common type-ins, especially for those of us who speak Russian and are struggling with which of the eleven ways of transliterating Октябрьской Революции or Северный.
