Country Logic Puzzle by Scambigol #43

Follow instructions carefully!

1) No country appears more than once
2) To properly complete the quiz you must never write down a country if you're not 100% sure it's the one that goes there!

A: Borderless countries have been greyed out, all other countries are answers
B: Each column contains countries with the same colour as the cell on top (eg column A contains countries that are red on the map)
C: Arrows between cells 'join' bordering countries that are adjacent horizontally, vertically or diagonally
D: ↓↓↓ is used for vertical 'chains' so they can be spotted easily
E: Lebanon and Vatican City are in the same row
F: Border colours: light grey for answers connected by just 1 arrow ; black for answers connected by at least 4 arrows

Note that even without seeing the colour of European micronations the quiz is solvable
Overseas and lake borders are considered
Extra type-ins to avoid whammies: GNB for Guinea-Bissau, NGA for Nigeria

Is the color of the cells and therefore the number of arrows based on number of borders?

For example: Gambia is colored red and has 1 border (Gambia\Senegal), Senegal is orange and has 5 borders (Senegal\Gambia, Senegal\Guinea-Bissau, Senegal\Guinea, Senegal\Mali, Senegal\Mauritania). So I should be finding a gray cell on the column of red linked with an arrow to a black cell in the column of orange. However there is no such cell.

So is the color of cells based on the actual number of borders or on the number of arrows decided to use in the quiz?

It’s based on the number of arrows

Thanks cambigol, great as usual! One question: I can't find a way to put the last 2 countries in G15 and G17, cause both are connected to right and left countries. Adding an arrow from G14 to G15 can solve this ambiguity (swapping the 2 countries), or am I missing something else?

thanks for your comment! for your question: as you say an arrow between G14 and G15 works for only one of the two options; so not having the arrow only works for the other option. I hope I made it clear in the instructions that 'no arrow means no border' if not please help me write it more clearly!

Ok, I wasn't sure an arrow "has to be" if the contries are connected. Thank you
