Hardly a comparable answer, but I've changed the clue. I trust there's not a Mont Saint-Michel in Northland. :)

Nitpicking a little bit: the clue now says "Mont-Saint Michel", not "Mont Saint-Michel". Oh, the horror.

Only after seeing the answer and thinking for a while, did I understand the DFW clue. And I've been there even!

So what does it mean? I have no idea what D Fort W could be and while it's mentioned in the comments nobody explains it.

And it's impossible if you live elsewhere.

I don't live in the USA and I got it immediately. So I guess it's remotely possible.

I had to look it up even after being told what the F stands for. I probably would have guessed for the rest of my life before I came up with Dallas-Fort Worth.

I live in North America, I watch college and pro sports, including plenty in Texas, and I've been to both Dallas and Fort Worth. I've never it referred to as DFW.

And yet, it is! It is commonly used to refer to the whole metroplex of Dallas-Fort Worth, as well as the major airport that serves it.

95% of the people outside of the US don't know that abbreviation.

@yrk that is pretty amazing then it means atleast 5% would have heard of fort worth I wouldnt have thought it would be that much, more like 0,5% let alone that people know (of) the abbreviation. So I guess it seems that nearly everyone that knows the name knows the abbreviation aswell.

People from the USA seem to have a lot more knowledge of airports than the rest of us... Although I don't see French or Italian airports appearing on here!

Man... I was actually pretty pleased with myself for getting half of the answers right on this tough quiz, but then it turned out it was a below average score that beat only 25% of test takers. Are you kidding me? Gotta stop comparing myself to you guys :P

On another quiz, you may also want to use "Oranjestad", as the "S" clue. the Capital of Sint Eustatius (Statia) is also "Oranjestad".

People from Qatar aren't called Qatar, they're not interchangeable. You wouldn't accept France for French. This would also leave a letter left over for those who do type in the full thing.

What, no French people in the comments angrily arguing about whether Mont-Saint-Michel is in Normandy or in Brittany? Our traditions are dying…
