Each box contains five words of increasing length which start with the same three letters. Clues are hidden until the previous answer has been solved. Can you solve them all?
For each definition, select the correct word from the four optio.. STOP THIEF! A thief has stolen one letter from each correct answer, making it harder for you to spot!
I like these kind of quizzes, so a nomination from me. I did not know the word munificent (not a native speaker).
There were also a few answers I had never heard of, but that is not a bad thing at all. Didn't feel like I did too great, but was actually above average. I hope I will remember the new words though and do better next time. Or atleast get the ones I should have gotten.. (If only I thought of the warlike word... Then I would ve gotten the next 2 as well) I wás thinking about the god Mars even tried Martian (and maybe mars_like?), wasn't able to change it into the right type of word.
25 out of 30, and English isn't even my mother tongue. Btw, before this I had no idea what Quixotic means, but I got it anyway. My phone's autocorrect keeps suggesting Quixotic every time I try to type Quijote. Adjective, 8 letters, starts with Qui- . . . why not try Quixotic!
