Message Board Recap - April 2026

Welcome to the 20th edition of "Message Board Recap"! Here's some (hopefully) interesting stats about the Message Board for the month of April 2026. This will be similar in format to MasterRocket's September 2024 blog (which I'm treating as the first edition), but not exactly the same.

- A total of 92 threads were made during the month of April 2026, for an average of 3.07 threads per day.

- The days with the most threads were April 1, 15 and 25, with 6 threads each.

- The days with the fewest threads were April 8 and 14, with no threads.

- A total of 49 unique users made at least one thread throughout the month, for an average of 1.88 threads per user.

- Throughout the month, two users made 6 threads each, two users made 5 threads each, one user (Jeremy2011) made 4 threads, six users made 3 threads each, 10 users made 2 threads each, and 28 made one thread each.

Users with the Most Threads

The top 6 thread creators made 29 threads in total, or 31.5% of all April threads.

- The day with the most likes was April 1, with 54 likes.

- The day with the most likes per thread was April 17, with 21 likes and a single thread, averaging 21 likes per thread.

The top 6 like-getters received 189 likes in total, or 32.3% of all April likes.

- All threads in April 2026 received 1,033 comments in total, for an average of 34.4 comments per day, 11.2 comments per thread, and 21.1 comments per unique user.

- The day with the most comments was April 9, with 111 comments.

- The day with the most comments per thread was April 7, with 34 comments and a single thread, averaging 34 comments per thread.

The top 6 comment-getters received 403 comments in total, or 39.0% of all MB comments in April.

Now let's look at the top 10 most commented threads (all thread titles are exactly as they appear):

- Overall, MB threads in April 2026 had more comments than likes, with a like-to-comment ratio of 1:1.77.

- 29 threads (31.5%) had more likes than comments; 55 (59.8%) had more comments than likes; 8 (8.7%) had the same number of likes and comments.

Here's some other fun facts and stats that I think might be interesting.

The correct way to spell "JetPunk" is to either capitalize both the J and the P, or to capitalize neither. Here's a breakdown of how people did in thread titles:

✅ Both the J and the P were capitalized on 8 occasions.

Overall, "JetPunk" was consistently spelled correctly in MB thread titles.

Here's a look into whether thread titles ended with a punctuation mark, and which ones:

- 2 thread (2.2%) ended in a right square bracket "]";

- 21 threads (22.8%) ended in a question mark "?";

- 3 threads (3.3%) ended in a period / full stop ".";

- 2 thread (2.2%) ended in a right parenthesis ")";

- 13 threads (14.1%) ended in an exclamation mark "!";

- 51 threads (55.4%) did not end in a punctuation mark.

1. Length of Thread Titles

Have you noticed that some threads have much longer titles than others? Here's a look into the length of thread titles:

- All MB thread titles in April 2026 contained 2,519 characters in total (including spaces), for an average of 27.4 chars per title.

- Two threads are tied for the longest title: "How to keep text boxes their custom colors after being answered?" by Cypress981 and "Mytilene (Lesbos), Yekaterinburg & Chelyabinsk - Europe or Asia?" by Hozi. Both threads have 64 chars in their titles.

- The thread with the shortest title was "Help" by OsTheKidA, with only 4 chars in its title.

2. Capitalization of Thread Titles

Even though they're technically "titles", not everyone on the MB adheres to Title Case in their thread titles. Here's a breakdown:

- 90 threads (97.8%) adhered to Sentence case by starting with a capital letter.

- Approximately 48 threads (52.2%) adhered to Title Case. Note that this is an "approximate" figure since there are slight variations in the exact rules of Title Case.
