Introduction
Welcome to the 19th edition of "Message Board Recap"! Here's some (hopefully) interesting stats about the Message Board for the month of March 2026. This will be similar in format to MasterRocket's September 2024 blog (which I'm treating as the first edition), but not exactly the same.
Threads
- A total of 164 threads were made during the month of March 2026, for an average of 5.29 threads per day.
- The day with the most threads was March 16, with 10 threads.
- The days with the fewest threads were March 3, 7, 8, 17, 20 and 26, with 3 threads each.
- A total of 58 unique users made at least one thread throughout the month, for an average of 2.83 threads per user.
- Throughout the month, one user (Danny999) made 19 threads, one user (Capybarra) made 13 threads, one user (SteveTheEagle) made 10 threads, two users made 8 threads each, and 53 made six or fewer threads each.

Likes vs. Comments
- Overall, MB threads in March 2026 had more comments than likes, with a like-to-comment ratio of 1:2.35.
- 41 threads (25%) had more likes than comments; 107 (65.2%) had more comments than likes; 16 (9.8%) had the same number of likes and comments.

Here's some other fun facts and stats that I think might be interesting.
Spelling of "JetPunk"
The correct way to spell "JetPunk" is to either capitalize both the J and the P, or to capitalize neither. Here's a breakdown of how people did in thread titles:
✅ Both the J and the P were capitalized on 11 occasions;
❌ On another 3 occasions, the J was capitalized, but not the P.
Overall, "JetPunk" was correctly spelled on 11 out of 14 occasions or 79% of the time.
Punctuation
Here's a look into whether thread titles ended with a punctuation mark, and which ones:
- 1 thread (0.6%) ended in a right square bracket "]";
- 47 threads (28.7%) ended in a question mark "?";
- 3 threads (1.8%) ended in a period / full stop ".";
- 16 thread (9.8%) ended in a right parenthesis ")";
- 12 threads (7.3%) ended in an exclamation mark "!";
- 85 threads (51.8%) did not end in a punctuation mark.
Length and Capitalization of Thread Titles
1. Length of Thread Titles
Have you noticed that some threads have much longer titles than others? Here's a look into the length of thread titles:
- All MB thread titles in March 2026 contained 5,344 characters in total (including spaces), for an average of 32.6 chars per title.
- The thread with the longest title was "Can you name all the countries in the World Lacrosse Association" by Lycopene87, with 64 chars in its title.
- The thread with the shortest title was "1000" by IridiumPingo, with only 4 chars in its title.
2. Capitalization of Thread Titles
Even though they're technically "titles", not everyone on the MB adheres to Title Case in their thread titles. Here's a breakdown:
- 162 threads (98.8%) adhered to Sentence case by starting with a capital letter.
- Approximately 66 threads (40.2%) adhered to Title Case. Note that this is an "approximate" figure since there are slight variations in the exact rules of Title Case.
