Country Showdown #9

We will be doing our challenge... which is called Sumo.

Countries will be on a platform and will attempt to knock the other one off. The last one standing wins.

Participants, the order you put your countries in matters, because that's when they're playing and determines who they're up against.

First up, we have Team Astana vs Team hi111223!!

India: Huh, where are they?

Greece: I don't think they showed up at the challenge.

Me: Ok, then they're automatically at risk of elimination.

We now have Team KiloNova vs Team McKenzieFam!

KiloNova: Here's my team!

McKenzieFam: Here's mine!

First match is... South Africa vs New Zealand!

South Africa: Great, NZ is my friend...

New Zealand: Uh oh...

(South Africa takes a charge at New Zealand, but NZ dodges)

New Zealand: Missed!

(SA takes more charges, but NZ is dodging all of them.)

South Africa: New Zealand, where are you?

(SA is standing on the edge of the platform, looking for NZ, but can't find him. NZ sneaks up behind him, pushing SA in the water.)

Me: New Zealand scores a point for Team McKenzieFam!

(Team McKenzieFam cheers.)

1-0 in favor of MKF

Me: Indonesia and Argentina! Step on up!

(Indonesia pushes Argentina very close to the edge, but Argentina smacks him with a taco before he can push her off.)

Indonesia: I can't see! I have taco sauce all over my face!

(Argentina takes this opportunity to shove Indonesia off.)

Me: Team McKenzieFam leads! 2-0

Me: Next is Taiwan vs Guyana!

(Taiwan tries to do what he did to Indonesia, but that's not allowed, so he can't.)

(Guyana grabs Taiwan's leg.)

Taiwan: GET OFF!

(Taiwan kicks Guyana off, sending him flying off the platform, giving Taiwan the win.)

Me: Team McKenzieFam still leads 2-1! Sweden and Monaco, you're next!

(Sweden easily throws Monaco off, because of her small size.)

(Monaco screams as she flys into the water.)

Me: We're tied! 2-2! Next, we have Vietnam and Mexico!

(Mexico starts doing the Mexican Hat Dance on the platform, because Vietnam snuck a radio onto the platform and turned on the music for the hat dance.)

Mexico: I... I can't help myself!

(Vietnam uses this opportunity to shove Mexico off the platform, giving him the win. Mexico continues doing the dance in the water.)

Argentina: Not fair! You shouldn't be allowed to bring items!)

Me: Team KiloNova now leads, 3-2! Team KiloNova is one point away from winning this challenge!

Me: Next up is Thailand vs Nepal! If Thailand wins, then Team KiloNova is safe!

(Thailand and Nepal start off pretty even, until Nepal gets Thailand closer and closer to the edge.)

Thailand: What are you doing?

Nepal: Winning.

Thailand: HEY SO HAVE YOU HEARD OF BLAH BLAH BLAH..........

Nepal: Yes! I love that thing!

(While Nepal was distracted, Thailand switched spots with him, and shoves Nepal off the platform.)

Me: Looks like Team KiloNova won, so they are immune!

Laos: Will Singapore and I get to go?

Me: It doesn't matter, you could, but it won't affect anything.

Laos: C'mon nerd. We all know I'm winning.

Singapore: *gulp*

(Laos runs towards Singapore. However, Singapore curls into a ball. Laos trips over him and falls in the water.)

Singapore: Brain beats brawn any day!

Me: Well, the final score was 4-3, so Team KiloNova wins!

Finally, we have Team Balkan+ vs Team Nickelz

Me: First up is.... Georgia vs Greece.

Georgia: Are you kidding me... why am I going first?

(Georgia tries to sneak up on Greece, but Greece catches her and throws her off.)

Greece: I kind of feel bad about doing that to my former teammate.

Algeria: Don't feel bad. She's not on your team anymore.

Team Nickelz leads 1-0!

Me: Romania and Turkey, you're next.

Bulgaria: Hey Romania! Bite his neck!

Romania: I wish I was against you so I could throw you into the water...

(Turkey is trying to get Romania off the platform, but Romania climbs onto his shoulders.

Turkey: GET OFFA ME!!

(Turkey keeps shaking his body until Romania loses her grip and falls off.)

Team Nickelz leads 2-0!

Me: Next, we have Bulgaria and Poland!

(Poland corners Bulgaria)

Bulgaria: Hey Poland! Did you know that Romania is a... WOAH!! (as Poland pushes her off)

Team Nickelz leads 3-0!

Me: Next is Austria and Saudi Arabia!

(Austria starts singing "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star" at the top of her lungs in her most annoying voice possible.)

Saudi Arabia: IT'S SO ANNOYING!!! I CAN'T TAKE IT!!! (jumps off platform)

Me: Team Nickelz still leads 3-1! Next up is Malta and Spain!

(Spain lifts Malta, (who is easy to lift due to her size) and he accidently throws her backwards! Malta lands on the other side of the platform.)

Malta: HA!!! YOU MISSED!!!

(Spain with anger charges like a bull into Malta, sending her into the water.)

Me: Team Nickelz leads 4-1! Next, we have Cyprus and India. If India wins, then Team Nickelz wins the challenge.

India: I tend to like Antarctica. It'll be hard to push you off.

Cyprus: I AM NOT ANTARCTICA!!! (attempts to push India off)

(Instead, India grabs Cyprus and drops him in the water.)

Me: Team Nickelz is safe!

(By the way, Italy, Serbia, and Montenegro would've won if the challenge continued, but it doesn't matter.)

This means that Team Nickelz and Team KiloNova win safety and since they both won by one point, they both earn HALF of the advantage. For this advantage to go into effect, they both have to play it the same way. If they don't, then the advantage has no power. They each individually have to decide how they're playing it. The smart thing to do is to discuss instead of just guess what the other person's doing.

Last round... Teams Astana and hi111223 were vulnerable! The first country eliminated, with TWENTY-FOUR votes is...

This means that Team Astana is now out of the game completely, and this is why there's only two teams with safety instead of three.

This is only the first out of five teams that will be eliminated. Only one will win, and that team gets the cringe title of Country Showdown Champion.

There are five teams left now. There's still a tie for first and a tie for third.

For this challenge, there will be twenty bags of sand labeled 1-20. Those numbers are the point value that that bag gets. You can only choose six of your countries to participate to make it fair. (hi111223 can put all of their countries in there twice.) If two or more countries are at the same bag, then both of those teams split the amount in that bag.

Example:

Team 1:

Belgium: Bag 18

South Korea: Bag 20

Team 2:

Liechtenstein: Bag 20

Finland: Bag 16

This means that Team 1 gets 28 points, because South Korea and Liechtenstein both picked bag 20, causing them to each score ten points for their team.

(Also, if you pick a number that isn't a whole number, then you lose all your points.)

Challenge is due by WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 29TH BY 6:00 PM CST!
