Summer Blog Project

Hello! Several of the members of the Blog Discord Server have come together and developed an idea for our blogging this summer, and we would love to have you pitch in!

Our plan is to create a calendar of blogs for the summer, running approximately June through July or even August. (Thanks DictatorTal for inspiring the idea!) The exact dates will depend on how many participants we get. We will likely have two or so participants scheduled during each week over the summer months. During this week, the participants will release their blog! This way, we get a steady flow of interesting blogs to read over the summer. I know it will personally get me looking forward to reading blogs throughout the summer. Moreover, we hope this project will encourage those who want to write a blog, but perhaps haven't had the motivation to do so.

Our plan is to get a list of everyone who is interested within the next week or so, and then publish this summer's calendar before June begins.

If you've made it this far reading, there's a good chance you're interested in participating. If you're still somewhat on the fence, I encourage you to just take the plung and sign up. It won't hurt you, and you don't need to worry about your blog somehow being incredible or perfect. This is merely a chance for you to stretch yourself and participate in a community project here on JetPunk.

Note: If you are already planning on published lots of blogs this summer, I might recommend that you find a special topic for the blog you'll put in this project. That way it will stand out even more than your usual blogging! It'll give your readers even more to look forward to that week! ;)

Shortly after May 23, we will release the blog schedule! This will show who will be blogging on each given week throughout the summer. You can publish your blog anytime during that week; thsi way there's not too much pressure, you can wait and publish it later in the week. Once the schedule is announced you'll be able to mark your calendar and stay tuned for your favorite bloggers this summer! I know I personally will be looking forward to the participating blogs each week.
