Sorry for the late post! I usually post the CQMBs right after midnight but I was asleep with a fever. But I’m feeling way better now! Here’s the April CQMB!
Daredevil: Born Again
I haven’t started the show yet… I guess I could start it, but I’m not sure if I should watch the old Netflix series before I start this one. Do you guys think I should watch the original Daredevil series before starting Born Again?? Or am I able to watch Born Again without watching the original series?
Spider-Man 4 Casting
Recent news has it that Stranger Things star, Sadie Sink, will have a prominent role in the upcoming Spider-Man movie. I think there were maybe rumors that there would be a female villain, so I’m not sure if she’s maybe playing Black Cat or something? There’s speculation that she could be playing Gwen Stacy as well. For now we don’t know what character she’s playing, but it’s exciting to see this movie progress. Tom Holland’s Spider-Man 4 will be in theaters on July 31, 2026.
The Confirmed Cast of Avengers: Doomsday
This March, Marvel Entertainment had a 5-hour live stream, slowly revealing the cast of the upcoming Avengers movie. And this cast is STACKED! There are so many characters that nobody expected to be a part of this movie (like a BUNCH of Fox X-Men characters), and this cast announcement has definitely raised my expectations. Here’s the cast members confirmed from the live stream:
1. Chris Hemsworth as Thor
2. Vanessa Kirby as Sue Storm/Invisible Woman
3. Anthony Mackie as Sam Wilson/Captain America
4. Sebastian Stan as Bucky Barnes
5. Letitia Wright as Shuri/Black Panther
6. Paul Rudd as Scott Lang/Ant-Man
7. Wyatt Russell as John Walker/U.S. Agent
8. Tenoch Huerta Mejía as Namor
9. Ebon Moss-Bachrach as Ben Grimm/The Thing
10. Simu Liu as Shang-Chi
11. Florence Pugh as Yelena Belova
12. Kelsey Grammer as Hank McCoy/Beast
13. Lewis Pullman as Bob/Sentry
14. Danny Ramirez as Joaquin Torres/Falcon
15. Joseph Quinn as Johnny Storm/Human Torch
16. David Harbour as Alexei Shostakov/Red Guardian
17. Winston Duke as M’Baku
18. Hannah John-Kamen as Ava Starr/Ghost
19. Tom Hiddleston as Loki
20. Patrick Stewart as Charles Xavier/Professor X
21. Ian McKellen as Erik Lehnsherr/Magneto
22. Alan Cumming as Kurt Wagner/Nightcrawler
23. Rebecca Romijn as Raven/Mystique
24. James Marsden as Scott Summers/Cyclops
25. Channing Tatum as Remy LeBeau/Gambit
26. Pedro Pascal as Reed Richards/Mister Fantastic
27. Robert Downey Jr. as Victor von Doom/Doctor Doom
Some significant characters Marvel left out of this announcement include Spider-Man (Tom/Tobey/Andrew), Doctor Strange, Storm, the Marvels, the Eternals, Nick Fury, the Guardians of the Galaxy, Daredevil, Kingpin, Echo, Hulk, She-Hulk, Deadpool, Wolverine, Blade, Moon Knight, Wasp, Chris Evans (said to be a part of the cast), Wong, Vision, Scarlet Witch, Wiccan, Thunderbolt Ross, America Chavez, Jean Grey, Rogue, Hawkeye, Kate Bishop, Valkyrie, Punisher, Ironheart, Okoye, and War Machine. Those are all the notable characters that weren't included in this casting. I do believe it is still possible for these characters to make an appearance, but they just haven't been confirmed.
Nonetheless, this cast announcement gives me hope that Marvel maybe has a good handle on what they’re doing, and that this movie could be really good. Avengers: Doomsday is now filming, and will be in theaters on May 1, 2026.
Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse Release Date
Maybe it's not such a bad thing I waited to post this CQMB, because this morning, Sony had their CinemaCon presentation and announced two exciting pieces of Spider-Man news. One being the release date for Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse. It has been confirmed that this movie will be releasing in theaters on June 4, 2027 and will be picking up right where Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse left off. After hearing several rumors that this movie would be releasing in 2029, it is a relief to hear that it's only two years away.
Spider-Man 4 Title
At CinemaCon, they also revealed the title of Tom Holland’s Spider-Man 4. Destin Daniel Cretton, the director of the film, came on the stage and announced the film will be titled Spider-Man: Brand New Day. I guess it can be assumed that the word “Day” will be used similarly to the word “Home,” as Home was a part of the first trilogy’s titles. Spider-Man: Brand New Day will be out in theaters on July 31, 2026.
What to Watch This April
Here’s each of the Marvel/DC projects releasing this month:
April 1 - Daredevil: Born Again [E7] (streaming: Disney+)
April 8 - Daredevil: Born Again [E8] (streaming: Disney+)
April 15 - Daredevil: Born Again [E9] (streaming: Disney+)
Thank You!
Thank you for taking time out of your day to read this month's CQMB. Be sure to stay tuned for the next CQMB which will release on the first of May.
I used to talk a lot about my quizzes in the blogs but now I don’t really- I feel like it’s too late to rename it CMB though lol
Also, remember the whole naming thing for No Way Home and the false names? Maybe they'll do one like that here
I don’t think Brand New Day is a fake title lol. It would’ve been a great opportunity for April Fools but Sony’s not gonna mess around at CinemaCon lol
Thanks for checking out my blog, McKenzieFam!
