February ‘25 CQMB - Super Bowl, Daredevil, Lanterns, & More

The Super Bowl is always super exciting for movie trailers. Last year the Super Bowl presented us with the first Deadpool & Wolverine trailer. This year however, it sounds like we could be possibly getting a trailer for two Marvel movies. It is highly rumored that we will be receiving the first trailer for The Fantastic Four: First Steps, which I’m hoping for. HOWEVER, it has been confirmed that the trailer for Fantastic Four is releasing on February 4. So if there is any kind of Fantastic Four trailer at the Super Bowl, it would likely be reused footage from the already released trailer. That’s my most anticipated MCU project for next year. I’m assuming the other trailer will be for Thunderbolts*, but it could very well be one last promotion for Captain America: Brave New World. DC will be debuting a new sneak peek/trailer during the “Puppy Bowl,” which will likely include Krypto in the promotion. The Super Bowl is on February 9 at 6:30 PM ET.

The third main casting for the DCU series, Lanterns, has been made this past month. Ulrich Thomsen has been casted to play Sinestro, Green Lantern’s arch nemesis. It’s exciting to see this world-building that’s happening as casting announcements are made, and I’m excited to see what will happen in this show. Lanterns will be streaming on Max in 2026.

Despite the controversies behind the scenes to this show, the reception has been great. Thus, Marvel has decided to renew the show for a second and third season. What’s most surprising is that this announcement came before the premiere of the first episode. Hopefully you enjoy this series, because we’ll be seeing it still well into the future. The first two episodes of Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man are currently streaming on Disney+

This trailer looked very good. As far as I can tell, it looks like this revival of the Daredevil series is going to live up to what everyone expects. I’ve never watched the Netflix Daredevil series, so I don’t have a strong opinion about this upcoming show, but I am still excited for it to release. Hopefully I can find a chance to watch it, because it really seems like Marvel knows what they’re doing. Daredevil: Born Again will begin streaming on Disney+ on March 4.
