Wonder Man Trailer Thoughts

This interests me for sure. Nothing too crazy was shown off with the trailer, but I find myself much more fascinated about the show that other people. The general consensus I’ve heard is that it’s ridiculous, but I honestly think there’s potential. Yahya looks like he’s fun as the character, so I feel like even if this show doesn’t do anything too crazy, it will at least compensate with comedic entertainment. The show will be 8 episodes, all of which (I believe) are releasing on January 27, 2026. Or at least the first episode will premiere on Disney+ on January 27. What are your thoughts on this trailer? What are your expectations going into the show?

More Marvel Releases

Along with the Wonder Man trailer and release date announcement, Marvel also specified the releases of other upcoming MCU TV series. They announced these releases:

Daredevil: Born Again: Season 2 (March 2026)

X-Men ‘97: Season 2 (Summer 2026)

Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man: Season 2 (Fall 2026)

Vision Quest (2026)

These are all things we mostly knew, but now that the release months have been disclosed for most of the project we can have a better idea of when things are releasing. What do you think about these upcoming TV series?

Is the DCU Over? Already?

No lol. Warner Bros. is up for sale, and this has led to the question: once WB is bought, will James Gunn’s DCU be at risk of destruction. Ultimately, this is very unlikely. It would be a poor financial decision to shut down an already successful universe. We have yet to know who will be buying Warner Bros., but in the meantime, there should be no need to worry that the DCU will get terminated.

Batman in the DCU

Recently it was confirmed by Director Andy Muschietti that The Brave and the Bold is still in the works at DC. One of the main factors holding them back is their need to alter different plot elements. After knowing The Brave and the Bold would focus on an established Bat-Family with Damian Wayne as Robin, however in light of the announcement of there being changes, we don’t know which of these story elements may be changed. What do you think might be changed about the movie? Do you think it’s meant to best contrast the DCU Batman from Pattinson’s Batman?

What to Watch This November?

There are no Marvel/DC projects releasing this month :(

Thank You!

Thank you for taking time out of your day to read this month's CQMB. Be sure to stay tuned for the next CQMB which will release on the first of December.

That is the saddest 'what to watch' section yet :( Imagine the DCU goes down after one movie, that would be crazy lol.

Thanks for bringing us this summary, Claptime!

I agree with you on Wonder Man. I think it looks like a lot of really meta fun. Plus since it's part of the Marvel Spotlight banner I don't think it's meant to be taken too seriously. I doubt Wonder Man will really show up in future MCU things, but who knows, maybe? It'll be interesting to see in Ed Harris in a superhero show lol. Also, apparently Josh Gad is in it too, you never know what to expect with him. I also think Ben Kingsley as Trevor Slattery was hilarious in Shang-Chi (which redeemed him from Iron Man 3) and am excited to see him in this (it's a great place to have him).

I still haven't watched Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man yet so I don't know if a season 2 would be any good, but hopefully :)

With Vision Quest being the last thing coming out before Doomsday I'm interested to see if it ties in with it or Secret Wars at all (it easily could with James Spader returning as Ultron).

Yeah, I don't know what's going on with Warner Bros. I don't really understand why they want to sell. I've heard that Paramount and Netflix are the ones bidding the most money so far (specifically Netflix). It'd definitely be interesting if Netflix or Paramount bought out Warner Bros.

That would be pretty crazy is the DCU was cancelled if and when another company buys out Warner Bros. Even though I haven't really liked the direction of James Gunn's universe (especially Superman, the movie and the character) I feel like that's unfair to cancel it immediately after only ONE movie and 2 tv seasons.

I feel like it's really weird to have 2 Batmans at once (DCU version and Robert Pattinson version). So I think they definitely need to do something very different with the DCU version. Maybe an aged-up version since he'll be with Damian? I also don't like that they got Andy Muschietti to direct the movie (I absolutely hated The Flash).

Though it would be funny if Andy's Batman movie had Joker be the villain considering the thing he's most known for is It and It: Chapter Two (maybe he'll get Bill Skarsgaard to play Joker in it lol).

Nothing releasing in November... How sad :(

I don't think anything is releasing in December either right?
