Marvel Studios D23 Announcements
At D23 this year, there was a trailer shown for Daredevil: Born Again, Agatha All Along, and Ironheart. The casts for each show came out on stage as well. The trailers for each have been leaked since, which is something I will be talking about later. Ironheart was confirmed to have 6 episodes, and Daredevil has been confirmed to have 9 episodes (contrary to SDCC 2022 announcement saying there’d be 18). However, a second season has been confirmed with another 9 episodes. There was also a look at Red Hulk, which is in the thumbnail for this section. Daredevil: Born Again will be streaming on Disney+ in March 2025, and Ironheart will be streaming that year as well.
Marvel Animation D23 Announcements
The Eyes of Wakanda show was confirmed for a 2024 release, as well as the Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man show. Marvel Zombies was also confirmed to have 4 episodes. There will also be a second season of X-Men ‘97. It was also announced that What If…? Season 3 will be the final season in the series, and the end of The Watcher’s journey. I don’t really care about What If…? I never really have. Such a wasted opportunity…
Extra D23 Announcements
Since I’m a fan of movies in general, I’m going to talk about some other announcements made at D23.
Toy Story 5 is releasing June 19, 2026 and is based on Bonnie getting a tablet. The antagonist is set to be an army of malfunctioning Buzz Lightyear toys.
Zootopia 2 is releasing November 26, 2025, and Ke Huy Quan will be playing a snake, and the film will introduce reptiles to the world of Zootopia.
Moana 2 received a new trailer, revealing Moana has a new younger sister. Moana goes on more adventures with Maui to venture towards more tribes.
Avatar 3 has been officially titled Avatar: Fire and Ash.
The live-action Lilo & Stitch movie is confirmed for Summer 2025, and there was a sneak peek video, showcasing how live-action Stitch looks.
There will be a second season for Andor, and The Acolyte got canceled (the latter was announced after D23).
The Mandalorian & Grogu is set to release in 2026, and will have sequels, should the movie be a success.
A new Pixar movie, Hoppers, has been announced for Spring 2026.
Frozen III is planning for release in 2027.
Mufasa: The Lion King is releasing this December and has to do with the brotherhood between Mufasa and Scar.
Incredibles 3 was announced and is in production.
The live-action Snow White got a new trailer.
A Star Wars show called Skeleton Crew is releasing on Disney+ on December 3.
That’s all I can recall from memory.
Leaked Trailer Thoughts (Marvel - D23/SDCC)
The trailer for Daredevil: Born Again is exciting, and it’s promising that it will embrace the serious and gritty side of the MCU, reminiscent of the original Netflix series. I didn’t watch the whole Ironheart trailer, I could only find clips, but the clips looks intriguing. I’ve been kind of uninterested with the idea of this show, but it doesn’t look that bad, so that’s definitely something I’ll check out next year. The trailer for Thunderbolts* from SDCC 2024 also leaked this month, and I liked it. It was kinda a lot, and I’m not sure quite how to feel about it, but I’m hopeful it will be good. The trailer did enough to make me think it’ll be good, but this one I’m a little worried about. Thunderbolts* will be in theaters May 2, 2025.
Agatha All Along Trailer Thoughts
I don’t have anything to say. I’ve lost all interest lol. I don’t even know if I’m going to watch it, which is really unlike me. Anyways, Agatha All Along will be streaming on Disney+ on September 18.
Kraven the Hunter Trailer Thoughts
Okay… this looks way better. The trailer we got last year was definitely underwhelming, but this new trailer we got proves that Sony did work over the year-long delay. The movie seems way more touched up, and it has me wondering if it was potential to be actually good. I never thought that was possible. But yeah, pretty good trailer, and I’m looking forward to December. Kraven the Hunter will be in theaters on December 13.
Ultron Will be in The Vision Series
Previously titled “Vision Quest,” the untitled Vision series will feature James Spader’s Ultron. That is the same guy that played him nine years ago in Avengers: Age of Ultron. This makes the idea of a Vision show far more exciting. I’m wondering how Ultron will make this return, and what that will mean for the MCU. Could he appear in the upcoming Avengers film? The Vision series will be on Disney+ in 2026.
The Look for The Thing Has Been Leaked
I’m sure that headline didn’t help give context to what I’m talking about lol. Set photos revealed what The Thing will look like in the new Fantastic Four movie. It looks perfect. It’s all practical, which is great. There’s been way too many CGI flops in the MCU lately, I can appreciate some solid practical effects. The Fantastic Four: First Steps will be in theaters on July 25, 2025.
85th Celebration Reveals New Teases
A video celebrating the 85th Anniversary of Marvel teased at some of the upcoming MCU projects, including Captain America: Brave New World (in theaters on February 14, 2025), Thunderbolts* (in theaters on May 2, 2025), Daredevil: Born Again (on Disney+ in March 2025), and Ironheart (on Disney+ in 2025). The Red Hulk clip and the Thunderbolts elevator clip were both taken from the trailers played during D23 & SDCC respectively. It’s cool seeing these clips, and it gets me excited for the future, knowing Marvel is fixing their path. Thank you for everything, Stan Lee.
Thank You!
Thank you for taking time out of your day to read this month's CQMB. Be sure to stay tuned for the next CQMB which will release on the first of October.
Thanks for the update Claptime
I don’t totally know, I’m not the person to ask lol
Thanks for checking out my blog, cathlete!
After watching the Agatha trailer, I'm just so confused why they decided to pursue this character. What more does she have to offer outside of Wandavision.
I also have a good feeling about fantastic four following the new Deadpool and seeing what they can do with other popular Marvel franchises.
Great as always!
I’m weirdly interested in the Agatha show slightly after a new detail came out that I was unaware of before. I made a new blog about it, feel free to check it out, but nonetheless, the show still seems mostly uninteresting.
Were you unenthused by Brave New World before Deadpool & Wolverine, or were you always a bit interested and DP&W boosted that?
I have a good feeling about the majority of the MCU’s upcoming projects. Fingers crossed!
Thanks for checking out my blog, Nazgul! (Should I start calling you DukeOfArrakis? Lol, I’m just used to calling you Nazgul).
Yeah I think DP&W definitely helped boost my interest, although I always was a bit interested in this especially because I liked the Cap movies.
Heres hoping they can get the MCU back to where it needs to be!
