Oh hello im here to tell a lil story
The Story
My stupid Econ teacher gave me a 2/6 for participation for the month of April because I was on a trip and there was no possible way for me to be able to attend that class. However she said that class attendance is absolutely mandatory to get those grades, no exceptions. This is wrong, as she knew I was gone both weeks, I did all of the assigned work while on the trip, and I got permission from the counselor to go on this trip. So you might be thinking, a 4 point reduction isnt a big deal, right? WELL THINK AGAIN. PARTICIPATION IS WORTH TEN PERCENT OF MY GRADE, AND THAT REDUCTION WAS ENOUGH TO REDUCE MY GRADE 1.5 PERCENTAGE POINTS TO AN A-. A- IS NEVER OK. NOW MY ACADEMIC LIFE IS OVER. THIS SCHOOL WAS SPECIFICALLY DESIGNED FOR INDEPENDENT STUDY AND GOING ON TRIPS, AND YET THE TEACHER PENALIZED ME HARD FOR A TRIP AND THIS IS GOING TO AFFECT MY LIFE FOREVER. I got the counselor to intervene so hopefully this goes well :3
What this means
It means that my life is over. A 3.995 GPA is not the same thing as a 4.00,, all colleges will reject me and my life is over. However there is always the Golden Arches, where I can slave away for the last few years of my already short life.
HOW TO BE ABLE TO GET AUTO APPROVED BLOGS AGAIN
ever since a certain incident on March 10, I have been forced to get my blogs approved. Anyone know how to get auto approval back?
Worrying about such minor thing in life is astonishing for me... Having a 4 GPA would not give you a job, and it might be a bit more important to work and get food, yk!?
It is totally outside of your control lmao, and if your teacher did not want to have leniency with you, just forget about it. Everybody has had horrible teachers; and I've also had horrible teachers. Seems like this is your first "problem" in life you face, weird choice to vent in Discord and then vent in blogs.
Also who told you you must go to college? Just get a job in McDonalds without the $200k debt over an useless diploma; or just flee from the USA to Europe, the school system there is a lot better.
Hope the counselor can get your grade up
Besides, what year of high school are you in? Universities and Colleges will, in most cases, only look at your grades from your final year.
And yes, I know it's depressing to get a grade lower than you're used to, but trust me, when you're done high school, none of this will matter.
I also had anxiety about getting in to post-secondary but then I literally got in everywhere I applied. Trust me, it's easier than people say.

I don't understand how the GPA system works... in Australia (Victoria?) we have an 'ATAR' system for people once they finish year 12.
At what age level does the GPA thing start???
I mean the reason why Australia doesn't have those sorts of grading and exams is because half of us will probably fail...
People have had similar problems since the invention of formal schooling with exams and grading. The depression you are feeling right now over grades etc will not last. In the grand scheme of things, grades don't really matter that much.
Many employers don't even check, as long as you're competent and get the job done, that's all they're worried about.
There will always be a college that will accept you whatever grade you have (although I am in the UK, the US or elsewhere may be different) it may not be your first choice but hey, the second mouse always gets the cheese, right.
If at the end of it all, you end up at McDonalds, then so what, they are a great employer with lots of opportunities for advancement, and often the pay is better than some graduate jobs.
My advice would be to just do your best to the best of your abilities and don't worry too much if things go astray. Things will always get better!

lol 3.9+ isn't being rejected by most, atp the difference in gpa is so miniscule admissions relies on other factors such as the ones mentioned
