After a dry first half, chances came mostly for the home side in the second. Çalhanoğlu would break the deadlock in the 66th minutes, and shortly after, Sučić doubled their lead. Trying to defend Ange-Yoan Bonny in the box, Viti fouled and was carded again, so Fiorentina went down to 10 men. Çalhanoğlu converted the penalty, and the game ended 3:0 for the Nezzazurri.

Inter smoothly took down their opponent at home, and will look to threaten both Napoli and Roma for the title. Their next game against Verona (away), will be played three days after this match. The team did what they did, and came back from a disappointing loss to Napoli.

Fiorentina is still yet to find a win in the league after nine matchdays, dropping to 19th, below Pisa on goal differential. Fiorentina are playing Lecce this weekend, in hopes of rising up and away from the relegation zone.
