What's My Next Step? + College Move-in Date

Introduction

On my roadmap, I stated that I will be restoring charts from my deleted school account. So far, I've restored a series of charts based on year-ends of the Billboard Hot 100, and I've restored charts for Hot 100 entries dated October 1st, 2022, November 5th, 2022, April 29th, 2023, October 21st, 2023, and March 23rd, 2024. For the charts dated October 1st, 2022, and November 5th, 2022, I had originally made charts for the streams, sales, and radio airplay of the songs for those weeks. I had deleted those charts prior to my school chart being deleted because the YouTube channel that made videos with that data had a hiatus in releasing the videos, and I felt there was no point in keeping those charts without access to data to update them, however since then I have found out that the data comes from the Twitter account Talk Of the Charts and I can directly find that data by searching the Twitter website or app. There are also multiple charts based on Imperial Statistics that I haven't restored because I don't know exactly which videos they come from, and I have a new rule that I'll make a chart based on data from Imperial Statistics only if there is accurate information from the video that cannot be uncontroversially be used to make a quiz. A third major category that I haven't restored is quizzes based on the Ollie Bye videos "The Largest Cities Throughout History: Every Year" and "Europe's Largest Cities Throughout History: Every Year."

What To Do With Streaming, Airplay, & Sales Charts?

As previously stated, originally only the charts dated November 5th, 2022 and October 1st, 2022 had sales, airplay, and sales charts but since then there have been five other charts based on Hot 100 weeks have been made: three that were restored and two that were made on this account: May 4th, 2024 and February 2nd, 2022. For each week, I would be restoring the sales, streams, and airplay charts simultaneously since my source lists the data for all three for each week, as long as the song is charting on the Hot 100.

There are three possible things I can do here:

1. Restore charts for only November 5th, 2022 and October 1st, 2022

2. Restore charts for November 5th, 2022 and October 1st, 2022 & make charts for April 29th, 2023, October 21st, 2023, and March 23rd, 2024

3. On this account, create charts for all chart weeks

Restoring "Largest Cities Throughout History: Every Year" Charts

I originally made charts based on the "Largest Cities Throughout History: Every Year" that were divided by period: Ancient Era, Early Middle Ages, High Middle Ages, Late Middle Ages, and Modern Era, & divided by peak position. Now, I'm not sure that is a good idea because I think it'll make a lot of charts that could be condensed together.

There are four possible options:

1. Restore the original version of the charts

2. Condense the Early Middle Ages, High Middle Ages, and Late Middle Ages into the Middle Ages, & restore the rest of the charts

3. Make charts divided by peak but put them in sequence rather than divide them by period; the first ten cities that were once the largest in the world are part 1, then the next ten are in part 2, and so on.

4. Make charts divided by era but not by peak; put all the cities that first entered the top seven in the world in the ancient era together & put all the cities that first entered the top seven in the modern era together, etc.

4.a. Use the original period definitions

4.b. Have three series of charts: one for ancient times, one for the Middle Ages, and one for the Modern Era

5. Put all cities in sequence, regardless of peak or era

Another set of charts that I made was the median and mean populations of the top seven by year.

There are three possible solutions for this one:

1. Restore the original version

2. Create three charts: one for the Ancient Era, one for the Middle Ages, and one for the Modern Era

3. Create two charts: one for the Ancient Era & the Middle Ages, and one for the Modern Era

To clarify, all charts will be data for every 10 years rather than annual data.

Time To Make A Decision

I'm currently on break to watch some anime, and specifically wrote this blog now so I can watch another season (13 episodes) before restoring another set of charts. I'll be restoring the set of charts for airplay, sales, and streaming after watching the season finale.

Edit: I'll also be watching a movie after the season finale before I work on my next series of charts.

College Situation

The college I have chosen to attend is St. Mary's College of California. I'll be moving for college on August 21st this year and my first class will be the Monday after I move in.
