Empire Blog: Sawiwi

Introduction

We welcome you to read our latest blog, about a country that we have been working on for over 2 years, a little after we discovered JetPunk. Although this has nothing to do with DOTJE, we still decided to make this to inform people of our creation. We have worked on many things during our time, including making basic and detailed maps, strengthening the military, space exploration, and a lot other stuff. We two can't take all the credit though, as many of our real friends helped us work on this project.

History of Sawiwi

We first created the language during our last-period math class on October 25, 2019. A few weeks later, on November 14, we develop further and made a primitive map (image down below). This map continued to be developed to what it is today. During that time, we also reworked and added to the language, wrote a constitution, invited more members, and created a culture. In February of 2020, we decided that our city names were too similar to English names (we gained independence from the United States and wanted to be culturally different), so we changed most of their names, e.g. Dhruví City to Tímår¬. Our history files also contain various stories about the Sawiwi Island's past, such as how the main religion on the island was created.

Military

We started fortifying our military and designing our own equipment during the summer of 2020. We currently have two military instillations: Måna Naval Base and Þol Army Base. Most of our Navy was deployed in a blockade around Cohanu during our war against them in early 2020.

Basic Languchí

Our language, Sawi, is arguably the oldest part of our country and culture. It was created on October 25, 2019, on a random page of Ethaboo's math notebook. Since then, we have begun to translate all words from the Oxford 3000. Here are some (very) basic elements of it:

Alphabet (uppercase - lowercase - pronunciation):

A - a - a

Å - å - ae

B - b - b

ß - ß - sb

C - c - c

Ç - ç - chw

D - d - d

¶ - ð - dr

E - e - e

É - é - eh

F - f - f

G - g - g

H - h - h

I - i - i

Í - í - ie (more like ee)

J - j - j

K - k - k

L - l - l

M - m - n

N - n - n

Ñ - ñ - ny

O - o - o

Ø - ø - uh

P - p - p

Q - q - q

Þ - µ - ky

R - r - r

S - s - s

§ - ¬ - sk

T - t - t

U - u -u

V - v - v

W - w - w

X - x - x

Y - y - y

Z - z - z

Gender Rules:

If a noun is preceded by an article, add a suffix to the noun based on its gender:

Masculine: -er

Feminine: -eu

Neutral: -es

Articles have genders, too. The gender of the article depends on the gender of the noun that succeeds it.

Plurals:

If the noun ends in c, k, q, r, or x, add -í.

If the noun ends in any other consonant, add -ík.

If the noun ends in a vowel, add -k.

Articles have plural forms, too.

Verbs:

English form : if verb ends in a consonant : if ends in a vowel

-ing verbs : -'å : -d'å

past tense verbs : -én : -né

-s verbs : -ø : -mø

Other Grammar:

If a noun begins with a vowel and the article preceding it ends with a vowel, add -n to the end of the article.

Basic Words:

English - Sawi - pronunciation

a - år/u/es - aer/oo/es

a (plural) - årn/un/sén - aern/oon/sehn

about - imgen - imgin

all - íll - iell

also - wuxl - wooxol

and - unt - oont

any - piub - pyoob

as - sér - sehr

at - swu - swoo

So far, we have done all words from a to decade. There are many more that we are too lazy to put in this blog 😅

Culture

The culture of Sawiwi was one of the first things we created.

Food:

Chetru - Spicy fish with fried onions and cabbage

Plofrtíq - A dish made of deep-fried shrimp with potato salad

Íswas - Pasta with cheese, peppers, and seafood

Rchimitl - Spicy tofu with duck

Lucétay - Rice noodles with seaweed and beef

Slivbu - Chicken with sour sauce and broccoli

Yicvig - Tomato soup with beef and carrots

Gusplka - Bread filled with cheese, bacon, and chicken

Hrasbin - Clear gelatin topped with sugar water and fruit

Masåwu - Pudding with ice cream and waffle pieces

Appuñl - Pastry filled with pineapple

Religion:

Sawiwi practices Dhruvism, a religion that worships Dhruv. Daily prayers and monthly sacrifices are mandatory. If someone is too poor to give sacrifices, Dhruv will give them a grant. Dhruv is also the supreme ruler of our land.

Transportation

During February of 2020, we revolutionized Sawiwi, adding many new features. One of them was more highways. We have two classifications of highways: National Highways (NH) and Sawiwi Highways (SH).

Awesome blog! I've always wanted to try something like this... unfortunately I have neither the time nor the friends to do this at school.

I suppose I could always do it at home, though. Where my brother could make fun of me for making imaginary names for my cities.

I like how you were able to include foods from all sorts cultures. Pudding with ice cream and waffle pieces sounds good... you should get a patent for that lol

Also, would it be possible to include a map of your colonies + your enemies? Just a suggestion; would be a cherry on top for an amazing riveting blog :)

Perhaps we can do the colonies. Our enemies are fake countries created by others that we do not have access to.

Maybe I should also make a country where Naturian is spoken... other than Chilefornia or the Naturian Empire. That way Naturian will become a quadruple-universal language, being spoken in DOTJE, Quadverse, Earth because i am inventing the language on earth and my own universe lol

i actually started making a few worlds but forgot about them quickly, mainly because it's hard to think of good random country names

And incredible blog!

Hilarious! Could it be possible to immigrate to Sawiwi? LOL!

I once made a "diarchy" with my cousin but it proved to be unstable and was eventually annexed into nothingness haha. By the way, I made one language too. It's called Aficionadoan or Aficiobaasaa! Along with Naturian, this is a true global and a very powerful language used both in the Quadverse and the DOTJE universe.

The “o” (without accentuation), is (when you are talking with someone), pronounced like “U”, in Portuguese. Mainly in the Minas accent :)

That's correct! You learnt Aficiobaasaa without any formal teaching of the language! Now I have to learn Naturian so that we can communicate in our own languages without letting the masses know about our secret plans. Mwahahahahaha
