Welcome to the first edition of the JetPunk Unabridged Dictionary™, here to cover almost everything JetPunk you can think of, which will be including proper nouns. Happy reading!

1.0 - Published dictionary.
1.1 - Added new entry type (Alternate) and 16 new definitions.
1.2 - Added changelog and 30 new definitions. The blog is now tagged under 'JetPunk'. The XML definition has been moved to 'E', as it is technically an acronym.

A
Account - Your JetPunk profile. An account lets you comment, create quizzes, and more.
Alphanumeric - Consisting of strictly letters and numbers.
Alphabetize - To sort answers alphabetically, from A to Z.
America (Alternate) - United States of America.
America-Centric - See US-Centric.
Answer Grid - A term used for the hint and answer rows and columns in text quizzes.
Archive - A stored collection of data, such as the Daily Trivia Archive.
Arbor Day Foundation - One of JetPunk's tree planting partners, whom they have planted about 15,000 trees with.
Auto-LIke - See Self-Like.
B
Badge[Link] - An award given for achieving a certain score on select quizzes. Badges you have earned will appear on your user profile (see Profile).
Badge Blog[Link] - A type of blog that creates an unofficial version of a JetPunk badge (see Badge).
Baseball Facts[Link] - A list of interesting facts (see Interesting Facts) but instead related to baseball.
Basketball Facts[Link] - A list of interesting facts (see Interesting Facts) but instead related to basketball.
Block - Preventing a user from commenting on your JetPunk content. This cannot be undone.
Blog - An article were JetPunk users can write about topics and publish them for others to see. Ex.
Blogger - Someone who writes blogs.
Blog Section[Link] - A term for the blogging community and the blogs users create on JetPunk.
Blurb - A short description.
Bookmark - A link that is placed in the 'Useful Links' box (see Useful Links). on the front page. Users can bookmark almost any JetPunk page using the 'Bookmark this Page' button in the menu (see Menu).
Brightness - How much an image reflects light, resulting in how light or dark it appears.
Britain (Alternate) - United Kingdom.
BSB (Acronym) - Bandar Seri Begawan.
Burma (Alternate) - Myanmar.
Byte - 8 bits of data, or 8 numbers in binary. A single character is commonly considered a single byte.
C
CAR (Acronym) - Central African Republic.
Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) - A coding language used for styling webpages. CSS can be used in JetPunk quizzes to achieve unique effects.
Category Elimination - A quiz series originally made by user Stewart, where sorting criteria gets more and more specific until one item is left. The original series can be found here.
Caveat - An extra line of text in a quiz, usually used to list sources or nitpicky details.
CDLP (Acronym) - Ciudad De La Paz.
Cell - A single box in a grid.
Ceylon (Alternate) - Sri Lanka.
Chain[1] - A style of quiz where the last letter of an answer is the first letter of the next. Ex.
Chain[2] - A style of quiz where answers are somehow related to others. Ex.
Challenges - A JetPunk feature that allows you to challenge another user to beat your score or time on a quiz. A notification (see Notification) will be received when you're issued a challenge or when you receive a challenge result. You can see your given and issued challenges here.
Changelog[Link] - A log that tracks changes made on JetPunk, such as new features being added.
Chart - A JetPunk feature that displays data in either a line or bar format. When creating a chart, users can enter data and change how the chart is displayed. Ex.
Chart Section[Link] - A term for the JetPunk users who create charts and the charts they create.
City Reference[Link] - A page that shows data about many world cities. Data includes coordinates, population, and the country the city belongs to.
Class - A string that can be used to target certain elements in HTML. Unlike IDs, classes can be given to more than one element.
Click Map - One of the eight quiz types. In this type, users click answers on a map, given a hint. Ex.
Click Quiz - One of the eight quiz types. In this type, users click the answer in a pool, given a hint. Ex.
Click Tolerance - A feature on clickable map quizzes that allows a larger area of space to count a correct answer. This can be set in pixels.
Collaboration - Sharing a quiz or blog with someone else, allowing them access to view and edit the quiz. However, only the owner of the quiz can submit.
Comment - A written response that can be posted on many JetPunk pages. You can also reply (see Reply) to comments with those of your own.
Comment Section - A term that refers to the comments on a given page. Ex.
Contrast - The difference between the lightest and darkest parts of an image. On JetPunk, contrast can be changed for an image using a slider.
Coordinate - The location of something, usually a city. A coordinate is made up of two numbers: latitude (see Latitude) and longitude (see Longitude).
Copy a Quiz[Link] - A JetPunk feature that allows a user to copy an featured quiz and view how it's made.
Cote d'Ivoire (Alternate) - Ivory Coast.
CoTW (Acronym) - Countries of the World (referring to the Countries of the World Quiz).
Countries of the World Quiz[Link] (CoTW) - One of the first and the most popular quiz on JetPunk. The quiz requires you to name every country in the world, with the help of a map.
Countries Visited Map[Link] - A map that displays all the countries you have been to on your profile (see Profile).
CSS (Acronym) - Cascading Style Sheets.
Czechia (Alternate) - Czech Republic.
D
Daily Trivia Archive[Link] - A collection of all the previous Daily Trivia challenges, which allows you to play ones you have missed in the past.
Daily Trivia Challenge[Link] - A daily ten-question multiple choice quiz. The faster an answer is clicked, the more points are gained. A leaderboard is shown amongst your JetPunk friends (see Friends) to compare scores.
Daily Word Search - The word search that appears on the front page. A new word search will be featured on the front page each day.
Dan Hostetler (Alternate) - The Quizmaster's real name (more information at Quizmaster).
Dark Mode - A setting that can be checked under the menu (see Menu). When checked, JetPunk will change to a darker color scheme across all pages on your account.
Dawn of the JetPunk Empires (DotJE)[Link] - A popular blog series ran by user Geopro where JetPunk users create their own empires and conquer countries.
Defeature - To take away the featured status of a quiz. This usually happens when a quiz is too outdated or has been featured on accident.
Density - A term used to refer to the percentage of letters in a Word Search that are part of a valid word answer. A density of 90% or above is recommended.
Description - A written summary of content, aiding in the understanding of what it contains.
Direct Message - A JetPunk feature that allows users to send private messages. However, there are limits and one user must have Premium (see JetPunk Premium).
Divider - A horizontal line that is used for structuring blogs. Dividers can also be styled for a more customized look.
DM (Acronym) - Direct Message.
DotJE (Acronym) - Dawn of the JetPunk Empires.
Dot Placer[Link] - A tool that allows you to place dots on an SVG via entering coordinates.
DPRK (Acronym) - Democratic People's Republic of Korea (referring to North Korea).
DR (Acronym) - Dominican Republic.
DRC (Acronym) - Democratic Republic of the Congo.
DTC (Acronym) - Daily Trivia Challenge.
DWC (Acronym) - Daily Word Search.
E
Error 404[Link] - A page that is displayed whenever an invalid URL is entered.
Even Split[Link] - A JetPunk minigame where the user sorts items into two categories evenly as fast as possible. The more successful sorts, the higher the score.
Explanation - A feature on several quiz types that adds additional dialogue after the quiz ends, usually to justify an answer.
Export - Taking data out of a page. On JetPunk, this is used to collect a quiz's or Word Search's information, where it can then be pasted elsewhere.
Extensible Markup Language - A markup language that is used within SVGs to achieve unique effects.
F
Flagging - Right clicking an option on a Sudden Death quiz. When an answer is flagged, it cannot be clicked. Right clicking a flagged answer will unflag it.
Feature[1] - When a JetPunk quiz is reviewed by a moderator and becomes eligible for points (see Points).
Feature[2] - An aspect of JetPunk that brings something to the website.
Featured Language - A language that JetPunk officially supports, allowing you to gain points for taking featured quizzes in that language.
Fill - The interior of an SVG path (see Path), covered in a certain color.
Front Page (FP)[1][Link] - The main page you are brought to upon entering the site. The frontpage includes new quizzes daily, an editable side panel, and more.
Front Page[2] - Having one of your quizzes appear on JetPunk's front page.
FSM (Acronym) - Federated States of Micronesia.
FP (Acronym) - Front page.
Friend[Link] - A JetPunk user you have 'friended'. You can see the quiz states, Daily Trivia Challenge scores, and private quizzes of your friends.
FYROM (Acronym) - Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia (referring to North Macedonia).
G
GB (Acronym) - Great Britain.
Geo Snap (Acronym) - Geography Snap.
Geography Snap[Link] - A JetPunk mini game where tiles are matched with their counterparts as fast as possible. The better the time, the higher the score.
General Knowledge - Knowledge on a broad spectrum rather a specific topic. Hundreds of General Knowledge quizzes have been made, while many can be found here.
Great Britain (Alternate) - See Britain.
Grid1 (Alternate) - See Answer Grid.
Grid2 - Where all the letters in a Word Search are. The Word Search grid can either be made up of squares or hexagons.
Grid Density (Alternate) - See Density.
Group - A JetPunk feature that allows users to create their own space to comment and add quizzes within the group.
Groups of Things - A setting on text quizzes that allows rows to be sorted into groups based on a selected column. Rows with the same column name will now be stacked on top of each other, with the new header row having the same name as the original columns. Ex.
H
H Brothers Inc. (Acronym) - H Brothers Incorporated.
H Brothers Incorporated (H Brothers Inc) - The company that owns JetPunk, owned by Dan and John Hostetler.
HDI (Acronym) - Human Development Index.
Hex - A color code made up of numbers and letters that defines what color should be displayed.
Hidden Message - A feature on many Word Searches that creates a word or phrase from the letters that aren't used on the grid.
Histogram - A graph (usually a bar chart) that shows the distribution of data, rather than discrete chunks.
Human Development Index (HDI) - A ranking that ranks countries based on their level of human development (which includes metrics like life expectancy, quality of living, and education).
Holy See (Alternate) - Vatican City.
HTML (Acronym) - Hyperlink Text Markup Language.
Hyperlink - Text that, when clicked on, will send you to another webpage or part of a webpage. Ex.
Hyperlink Text Markup Language (HTML) - A coding language used for structuring webpages. HTML can be used in JetPunk quizzes to achieve unique effects.
I
(The) Iceberg[Link] - This is usually used to refer to the JetPunk Iceberg, a blog written by user Pullasorsa.
ID (Acronym) - Item Identifier.
IF (Acronym) - Interesting Facts.
IFG (Acronym) - Interesting Facts Group.
Import - Introducing new data into a page. In JetPunk quizzes, the import feature is used to fill in a quizs' information.
Index - A stored collection of data, such as the Word Search Index.
Information Pages[Link] - A set of pages that may contain useful data for quizmaking or information about JetPunk.
Inkscape - The recommended software designed for creating SVGs on JetPunk.
Interesting Facts[Link] (IF) - A list of tidbits of information that are unique and not very well known. Interesting facts sometimes appear in a box after a quiz ends.
Interesting Facts Group (IFG) - A JetPunk group dedicated to the Interesting Facts section.
Interesting Quotes[Link] - Similar to interesting facts (see above), but instead are quotes that people have said in the past.
Interview of a JetPunker[Link] (IOAJ) - A popular blog series created by user baptistegorce. In each blog, JetPunkers are asked about their journey and contributions to the site.
Ike - The original name of Jeppy.
IOAJ (Acronym) - Interview of a JetPunker.
ISO (Acronym) - International Organization for Standardization.
ISO Code - An alphanumeric (see Alphanumeric) string that is used worldwide to represent things like countries, languages, and more.
Item Identifier - A unique string that can be used to target a certain element in HTML, usually by using a hashtag (#). Each ID can only be given to one element.
J
JavaScript - A coding language that deals with logic and interactivity. JavaScript cannot be used directly on JetPunk, but can be used within SVGs to achieve unique effects.
Jeppy - The name of JetPunk's pufferfish mascot and logo.
JetPunk - The site you're currently on, and widely considered the #2 quiz site on the internet. JetPunk offers many features like taking quizzes, creating your own, playing minigames, and more.
JetPunking - The act of using JetPunk. This is a term commonly used by frequent users.
JetPunk Magazine[Link] - A blog series ran by users Astana, LuckyCat, and the JetPunk community. The Magazine covers topics of interest and allows users to write their own sections to be included in the blog.
JetPunk Journey - A term used for a user's progress on JetPunk, usually revolving around quizmaking (but can include other contributions).
JetPunk Premium[Link] - A paid subscription for JetPunk that removes ads, allows the ability to add tags to JetPunk quizzes, and unlocks quiz analytics.
JetPunk Quiz Report - An annual analytics feature that shows how well your quizzes did over the past year, if you've made one.
JetPunk Shop - An official online store to buy JetPunk merchandise that opened in June 2023. However, it closed down at the end of 2024 due to lack of interest and profit.
JetPunk SVG - An SVG that is built-in to JetPunk. Any user can easily access a JetPunk SVG when making a text quiz in Step 4.
John Hostelter - The Quizmaster's brother and coowner of H Brothers Incorporated.
JP (Acronym) - JetPunk.
JS (Acronym) - JavaScript.
K
KB (Acronym) - Kilobyte.
Kilobyte (KB) - A unit of data equal to about 1024 bytes.
KSA (Acronym) - Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
L
Label Placer[Link] - A tool that allows you to place text in any SVG that corresponds to its paths.
Latitude - The distance of something north or south of the equator.
Learning Mode - A type of quiz designed to help users learn geography faster by giving progressively harder questions. However, it was eventually scrapped.
Level - A number achieved by gaining points (see Points).Tne more points gained, the higher the level.
Life - Allows you to type an incorrect answer if whammies are activated (see Whammies), or to click on an incorrect answer on a Sudden Death quiz (see Sudden Death). If the final life is lost, the quiz will end.
Light Mode - JetPunk's default mode, where the site has a lighter color scheme. The site will appear as so when 'Dark Mode' is not checked.
LInear - A setting on charts that sets the increments of an axis evenly. Ex.
Link - See Hyperlink.
Like - Pressing the heart button on a comment, post, or blog. Each like increases the counter by one.
Logarithmic - A setting on charts that sets the increments of an axis to factors of a number, rather than equally. Ex.
Longitude - The distance of something east and west of the prime meridian.
M
Map - A term used for an SVG that resembles a geographical feature. Ex.
Map Quiz #1 - One of the 8 quiz types. In this type, users have to select answers from a pool given a shape displayed on the map as a hint. Ex.
Map Quiz #2 - See Click Map.
MB (Acronym) - Message Board.
MCCQ (Acronym) - Multiple Choice City Quiz.
Megabyte - A unit of information equal to about 1 million bytes, or 1000 kilobytes.
Menu - The dropdown on the navigator bar titled 'Menu', which contains many links to other parts of the site.
Merge - To combine two cells (see Cell). This will allow one cell to take up more than one row, column, or both.
Message Board[Link] - A page where the JetPunk community can write their own posts for others to see. The Message Board mainly serves as a place to ask questions, advertise quizzes, request help, share information, and more.
Message Board Incident - An event that happened on April 4th to April 6th, 2025, where the Message Board was shut down and over 60 users were banned. This happened due to spam and other inappropriate threads.
Minesweeper[Link] - A JetPunk minigame where users click boxes and use logic to avoid mines. Clicking a mine immediately ends the minigame. Boxes that aren't mines display a number, showing how many mines are touching them.
Minigame - A collective term for JetPunk's games that don't take the form of a quiz. These include the Daily Trivia Challenge, Word Search, Minesweeper, and more. A list of all JetPunk minigames can be found here.
Missing Dots - A feature that can be used for quizzes with SVGs. When toggled, dots appear in set locations on the map, depending on the coordinates entered.
Moderation - Keeping track of something. On JetPunk, your first quizzes and blogs published will be moderated to ensure safety and prevent spam.
Moderator[1] - One who has admin permissions on JetPunk. These include the Quizmaster, Stewart, and users in each language section.
Moderator[2] - One who has admin permissions in a JetPunk group (see Group). These permissions include adding or removing people in the group, sending invitations, and adding quizzes.
Multiple Choice - One of the 8 quiz types. In this type, users must click the answer out of a pool. Several questions can be added at a time. Ex.
Multiple Choice City Quiz (MCCQ)[Link] - A 10 question multiple choice quiz centered around a city.
N
Node - A point in an SVG. Several nodes together can form a path.
Nom (Acronym) - Nomination.
Nomination - Clicking the 'nomination' button on an eligible JetPunk quiz will increase its nomination counter. Quizzes with the highest amount of nominations will be featured once a week.
Nomination System - Term used for nominations, what they do, and how they work.
Notification - A message placed in your inbox (displayed as a bell on JetPunK). Clicking the bell allows easy access notifications.
Number Factoring Game[Link] - A JetPunk mini game where the player must gain the highest score possible to beat the taxman. Upon clicking a number, you gain that number of points, while the taxman gains all factors of that number. Once no more factors remain, the taxman gets the remaining numbers.
NZ (Acronym) - New Zealand.
O
Opacity - How transparent something is. A lower opacity means an object is more transparent, and vice versa.
Orcspel - An alternative term for the most visited quiz site on the internet, originating as an anagram of its true name, Sporcle.
'Other Site' - A term commonly used to refer to Sporcle.
P
Padding - Spacing between the border of an element and the children inside it.
Pagination - Dividing a list into smaller parts. Pagination is used on many parts of JetPunk. Ex.
Path - A single shape or element in an SVG. Paths can be targeted using classes (see Class) and IDs (see Item Identifier).
Path ID - See Item Identifier.
Picture Quiz - One of the 8 JetPunk quiz types. In this type, users must type the answer given an image as the hint. Ex.
Pinned Comment - A comment that has been set as 'sticky' and stays at the top of the comments section. A sticky comment appears with a background and cannot be replied to.
Pixel - A single unit of color on a screen. Thousands of pixels together can create an image.
Play - See Take.
Playlist - A list of JetPunk quizzes that can be created by a user. Any quizzes can be placed into a playlist, and a playlist can be viewed by other users. Ex.
Points - These are gained by taking featured quizzes. The higher the score/percentile, the more points are gained, up to 5. Points increase levels (see Levels).
Post - A short article posted on the Message Board (see Message Board). Posts consist of a title and body text, along with a comments section. Ex.
PRC (Acronym) - People's Republic of China.
Premium - See JetPunk Premium.
Preview - Looking at what content will look like when published, without yet publishing it. This helps to get an idea of how it will look to other users.
Private - Hiding your content from view to people except yourself. Making your content private can usually be done by using a dropdown in the editor. Note that private quizzes can still be seen by your friends or those who have a link.
Profile - A page that shows information about a user, including their most taken quizzes, countries visited map (see Countries Visited Map), and other pages unique to yourself. Ex.
Pseudofeature - A term used to describe a quiz that was mysteriously defeatured after the feature notification was sent.
Public - Content that can be seen by everyone on the website.
Puzzle (Alternate) - Another term for a JetPunk Word Search.
Puzzlemaster - A term referring to Stewart (see Stewart), as he manages and moderates the Word
Q
QCC (Acronym) - Quiz Creation Challenge.
QM (Acronym) - Quizmaster (referring to the JetPunk Quizmaster).
Quick Links - A blog feature that adds a table of contents to the top of the blog. Heading elements only are included in the table.
Quiz - A test that is meant to challenge the player's knowledge. On JetPunk, quizzes come in many different forms.
Quiz Analytics[Link] - A JetPunk Premium feature that allows you to see in-depth data about your quizzes. Non-premium users will be shown the analytics of the Quizmaster.
Quiz Creation Challenge[Link]- A popular blog series by user Insaniot that challenges users to create a quiz, given a prompt.
Quiz Editor - JetPunk's interface for creating quizzes. The editor has different features depending on the quiz type.
Quizmaker - A person who creates quizzes.
Quizmaker Rank - The number you're given if you have at least one take on a quiz. The ranking sorts users based on how many times their quizzes have been taken. The more takes, the higher the rank. You can see a list of every user here.
Quizmaster - JetPunk's founder and moderator. The Quizmaster manages all of JetPunk, which includes featuring quizzes, making updates, and more.
Quizmaster's Predictions - An annual blog where the Quizmaster makes his predictions of what will happen in the next year. At the end of the year, the predictions are revisited to see how well he did. Ex.
Quizmaxxing - Completing as many featured quizzes as possible for the maximum number of points. Some users have completed almost every featured quiz in a certain language or across JetPunk in its entirety.
Quiz Stats - Certain stats that appear below a quiz after it's been taken, such as the most and least guessed answers.
R
Random Button - A link that says 'Random', appearing at the top of the front page. When clicked, it will take you to a random quiz. You can also set the random button to difference settings to narrow down the quiz you want.
Random Quiz - A feature on many quiz types that only selects certain questions from a pool based on a set number. When the quiz is reloaded, the answers will change every time. Ex.
Rating - A JetPunk feature that allows you to rate a quiz from one to five stars. A quiz's rating is the average of all rates given to that quiz by users.
RegEx (Acronym) - Regular Expression.
Regular Expression (RegEx) - A syntax language allows for more customized and powerful type-ins.
Reply - Commenting to a comment. This refers to the above comment, instead of being an original thought.
Report - Notifying a moderator of a quiz, blog, comment, chart, post, or other user-made feature that shouldn't be there, usually due to rudeness or inappropriate content.
ROC (Acronym) - Republic of China (referring to Taiwan).
ROK (Acronym) - Republic of Korea (referring to South Korea).
RUB (Acronym) - Recent User Blogs (referring to the Recent User Blogs page).
RUQ (Acronym) - Recent User Quizzes (referring to the Recent User Quizzes page).
S
Saturation - The intensity of colors in an image.
Scheduling - Entering a date and time for content to be published automatically, without the need for user intervention.
SD (Acronym) - Sudden Death.
Self-Like - Your own content is automatically liked by your own account. This term is sometimes used to refer to this mechanic.
September 4, 2018 Incident - The day when a script was used to increase the Planets of the Solar System Quiz by over 20,000 takes.
Series - A list of quizzes you own. A quiz can only be added to one series. A quiz that is in a series will have a box on its quiz page, linking to other boxes in the series.
Site Map[Link] - A page that contains a variety of important pages on the site.
SJK (Acronym) - Sri Jayawardenapura Kotte.
Speedrun - Attempting to complete a JetPunk quiz as fast as possible.
Split View - A blog component that allows two components to be placed side by side.
Spotlight - See User Spotlight.
Spotlight Award - An award randomly given to users above level 50. This allows the user to select an eligible quiz to appear in the User Spotlight.
Streak - A counter of how many days in a row you've gotten at least 5 questions correct on a featured quiz. If a day goes by without doing this, the quiz will be reset to 0.
Stroke - The border of a path (see Path) in an SVG that surrounds the fill. The stroke will be covered in a certain color.
Style(s) - How something is displayed. This term is used in many areas on JetPunk, such as the quiz editor.
Subscript - Text that is displayed smaller and below the line. Subscript is usually used in chemistry and mathematics.
Sudden Death (SD) - One of JetPunk's 8 quiz types. In this type, users have to click boxes in a grid based on given criteria. However, clicking an incorrect answer will automatically end the quiz.
Superscript - Text that is displayed smaller and above the line. Superscript is usually used as exponents and for citations.
Stewart - JetPunk's #1 quizmaker and only employee.
SVG (Acronym) - Scalable Vector Graphic.
SVG Guide - An official JetPunk guide, written by Stewart (see Stewart), that contains basic information on how to create SVGs and use them to make JetPunk quizzes.
SVG Zoom - Clicking an SVG will cause it to enlarge relative to the point clicked. This can be disabled if necessary in the quiz editor.
T
Take - To play someone's quiz.
Tag[1] - A JetPunk feature that categorizes quizzes based on their content. Only JetPunk Premium (see JetPunk Premium) users can add tags to their quizzes.
Tag[2] - A JetPunk feature that categorizes blogs based on their content. Any user can set tags for blogs they own.
Tag[3] - An element in HTML (see Hyperlink Text Markup Language). Tags are defined using triangle brackets.
(The) Taxman - See Number Factoring Game.
TDJ (Acronym) - Total Drama JetPunk.
Terms of Service[Link] - What you must abide to in order to use JetPunk.
Thread - See Post.
Text Quiz - One of JetPunk's 8 quiz types. In this type, the user must enter answers into a box. Text quizzes come in a wide variety of forms, but hints can be given via a hint column, embedding an SVG, defining a category, and more.
Thumbnail - An image that aids in a player's understanding of content, along with a description. Thumbnails are usually shown beside the description.
Timor-Leste (Alternate) - East Timor.
Tile[1] - A single square in Geography Snap (see Geography Snap).
Tile[2]- A single answer on a tile select quiz (see below).
Tile Select - One of JetPunk's 8 quiz types. In this type, users select tiles that fit the given criteria. There are several questions which can be moved between freely. Ex.
Top Today[Link] - A leaderboard of the most taken quizzes today. Quizzes with more takes will be ranked higher on the leaderboard. You can also view days in the past.
Total Drama JetPunk[Link] - A contest ran by user Capybara via the blog section. In the contest, users completed in a series of challenges to try and win invincibility. At the end of a challenge, users would vote on who to remove from the competition.
Translator - A moderator for a certain language section of JetPunk. Users who are translators will have a green translate symbol when their name is hovered over.
Trees for the Future[Link] - One of JetPunk's tree planting partners, whom they have planted over 700,000 trees with.
Türkiye (Alternate) - Turkey.
Type-in - A feature used on JetPunk's typing quizzes that allows an alternate answer to be accepted.
Typing Speed Test[Link] - A JetPunk minigame where the user must type as many 'words' (five keystrokes) as they can within one minute, given a prewritten paragraph. The more words typed, the higher the score.
U
UAE (Acronym) - United Arab Emirates.
UI (Acronym) - User Interface.
UK (Acronym) - United Kingdom.
Unfeature - See Defeature.
Unfeatured Language - A language that exists on JetPunk and has its own page, but isn't eligible for points. A list of all supported JetPunk languages, including unfeatured languages, can be found here.
Uniform Resource Locator (URL) - A unique identifier for a webpage or other web content. URLs commonly take the form as hyperlinks (see Hyperlink) in order to quickly jump in between web pages.
Untimed - Clicking the option on most quizzes that will cause the built-in timer to disappear, allowing infinite time to complete a quiz.
Upvote - A five-star rating. At the end of the year, the most upvoted quizzes are featured in an annual blog. Ex.
URL (Acronym) - Uniform Resource Locator.
US (Acronym) - United States.
USA (Acronym) - United States of America.
US-Centric - When a quiz or quizzes are based too much around the United States.
Useful Links [Not to be confused with this blog] - A box where JetPunk pages you have bookmarked (see Bookmark) will appear, allowing easy access to those pages. The box also
User - Someone who uses JetPunk.
User Spotlight[Link] - A section on the JetPunk front page that showcases good quizzes that may have gone under the radar. Spotlight awards are given to users above level 50, which then can choose quizzes to appear in the User Spotlight.
US State Puzzle[Link] - A JetPunk minigame where the US States are scattered, and the user has to piece them back together correctly.

Visibility - The state of a quiz or blog, either being 'public' or 'private'.
W
Whammies - A feature used in quiz types that require typing. Type-ins (see Type-ins) for whammies can be set, and whenever it is typed, one life will be lost. A maximum of 5 lives can be set. Many quizzes with Whammies can be found here.
Word Bank - A collection of all the words in a JetPunk Word Search.
Word of the Day - A JetPunk feature that would appear after a quiz was taken, similar to Interesting Facts (see Interesting Facts). This was eventually removed.
Word Search (WS)[Link] - A JetPunk minigame where words are hidden in a grid, and users have to spot them by holding and dragging. Ex.
Words Per Minute (WPM) - The number of 'words' (five keystrokes) typed in exactly one minute.
WPM (Acronym) - Words Per Minute.
WS (Acronym) - Word Search.

XML (Acronym) - eXtensible Markup Language.
Y
Year in Review - An annual blog published by Stewart that highlights JetPunk's progress over the past year, usually published in late December. The Year in Review showcases new features, top quizzes of the year, stats for other features of the site, and more. Ex.
Yellow Box - A feature on typing quizzes that forces answers only to apply to the cell of the yellow box. Ex.
Z
Zoom Level - Setting the magnitude of zoom in an SVG. In the quiz editor, this can be set to 2x, 4x, 6x, or 8x.
