Blue - Sky

Green - Forest
Yellow - Beach
Star - Symbolizes how bright we shine compared to the other states. It also represents our part of the Union, as the star has 8 points, since South Carolina was the 8th state to ratify the Constitution.
Red - Blood shed during the Battle of Carolina
White - Purity shining from behind the bloodshed

New poem because I need more words:

You conquer the day, that's what they say

You'll defeat them in any way

You move on from the mess, no need to stress

Just know that there is no rest
