JetPunk Wars Simulation Match-Ups

+5

Let the Games Begin!

Welcome all contestants. You have signed up for war, and now it is time to battle. Below is the list of match-ups, so find yourself and your opponent. You have 3 days after the post of this blog to buy your 2 items for the battle. Some people have already bought their items, so thank you to those who have. If you haven't, you have (approximately) 3 days (please don't be that one guy who is always late, I will put sanctions on your country).

Caveat: This simulation is all for fun and games. No two countries were paired together on purpose (thanks to the randomized wheel). I know this group of contestants is very respectful, but I wanted to mention this anyway. So, without further ado, let the games begin!

Round 1 Match-Ups:

Nickelz - United States (200)

PigKat - Iran (140)

Jeremy2011 - France (160)

hi111223 - Indonesia (140)

KiloNova - South Korea (180)

Capybarra - United Kingdom (180)

Astana - Kazakhstan (100)

McKenzieFam - Israel (120)

Gademotsili99 - Italy (160)

JetPunker180 - Pakistan (160)

Trompete79 - Brazil (160)

Fifi567 - Germany (120)

Noivern - India (200)

Polandball6 - China (200)

Things to Remember:

Each round is best of 3, meaning that you have to win 2 of the 3 battles for each round to advance.

The match-ups are randomized, and I will randomly spin again after this round (set of 3 battles) is over to pick new match-ups.

- Please note that many other aspects of this game are randomized, so don't bash me.

- In cases of complete ties between battles, a randomized wheel will decide the victor.

Anything you buy will be deducted from your current total (better items cost more).

After each round, every remaining player will receive 50 coins - [give me a better currency/name in the comments] - to replenish.

If you do not provide me with any information during the planning period, you will lose the battle (If you already gave me your plans, this does not apply to you).

Make sure to discuss your plans in the private groups I invited you to. Don't comment your plans on this blog, or your opponent will know! Have your plans submitted to me by the end of the 3 day preparation period on November 17 at 11:59 pm (before that would be awesome to give me some extra time to make the blogs, but you don't have to; take all the time you need to plan).

The next blog (detailing the first battles) will be posted after the 3 day preparation period, and you will see everyone's standings. If I have anything to say/add, I will. If you didn't sign up but wanted to, sorry you missed the deadline. I might host another series depending on how well this first series goes, but that thought is for another time. You can watch the war :)

If everyone is ready before the 3 days are up, I will hopefully be able to post the first battles early, but I don't expect this first battle to be entirely smooth. This series will definitely take a long time, so I hope no one loses interest too quickly. I'm glad there were an even number of contestants, so I didn't have to play. That would have been... hard to work out.

I might post reminders on the Message Board, but I'm still thinking about it. I think it's a good idea as many users probably check the threads often. This might be helpful for everyone, so I'll ponder.

Thank you to everyone who signed up! It means a lot to me, and I hope everything goes well. See you in the private group chats, and best of luck to everyone.

I have a suggestion: the amount of coins you get (fishycoins!...ok, no) is randomized.

Would there be a scale range, like 0 - 50? If this is the case, I want everyone to be able to replenish equally and not die from lack of money. I do appreciate the suggestion Kilo!

I think I am going to take the "fishy" aspect and call the currency Fisks!

Do our selected 2 items will be used in all the rounds or we have to select separately for each round? Plus can we change our decision with in deadlines.

After each battle, you pick 2 new items. These can be the same 2 items, or new ones.

You will always be able to change your decision, but yes, it must be within the deadline.

So then, do we get to buy two items between each of the three battles in this round's matchup? Or, we buy two items to be used in all three fights here, then another two for next time's one

Also, we should probably have some definite terms for these, right? Such as, three fights make up one battle, and all the battles make up one round (making this round 1), to avoid confusion when people use these terms interchangeably

Question 1: You can buy 2 items between each of the three battles in this round. Every battle that happens (three) per round, you get to buy two more items. These items can be different items 100%.

Question 2: um... a battle is one skirmish between you and your opponent where you buy two items to attack/defend. This happens 3 times per round.

I will clearly distinguish the terminology in the next blog.
