Shining Light on Hidden Gems #10 - LegoBuilderOne

Explanation

In this series, I will be displaying users who you may or may not know so well, but that I think deserves more credit. This could be that the user has well made quizzes which don't have many plays, or that the user is a great person and should be recognized by more people. Whatever the case may be, I will be talking about it here. This is not an interview, as that would be a direct ripoff of baptistegorce's "Interview of a JetPunker" series, which is not my intention at all. I simply want to spotlight users who I think should be more popular. Enjoy!

Hidden Gem #10 - LegoBuilderOne

I have selected user LegoBuilderOne as my tenth entry in this series because even though their account is only one year of age, they already make some mighty fine quizzes. Quizmaster has noticed their quizzes, as Lego has one Featured quiz. However, Lego should have more with their good ideas.

LegoBuilderOne's Best Quizzes

Lego has a solid 35,000 takes as of posting this blog, with a solid 200 quizzes. This is all considering their account is only a year old. Like I said above, they have a Feature as well, and it's a good one at that. While Lego doesn't make 50 hour coding monstrosities, their quizzes are still of quality, and exactly the kind that could be Featured. Now, here are what I think LegoBuilderOne's best quizzes are.

Youngest Countries A-Z

Lego's Youngest Countries A-Z is one of their most taken quizzes, well, it's number nine but still. The quiz is exactly what it sounds like, naming a country for each letter of the alphabet that got their independence most recently. The dates are given, which really helps decipher some of the more unusual answers. For a history buff, this is the perfect quiz, and for the average JetPunker, is a fun concept to try and work out. I would love to see this quiz Featured.

Lego has a whole series of their A-Z quizzes, being their most taken series (with the Feature of course), and the series with the most quizzes in it. Lego seems very dedicated to it, their Featured quiz was an award after all. I do think many other quizzes in this series should be Featured, such as Name A Capital Of A Country A-Z and Most/Least Guessed Countries On JetPunk A-Z.

Chess Moves - Sudden Death

Chess Moves - Sudden Death is Lego's tenth most taken quiz as of posting this blog, since we're counting. However, the concept is what I love. There are only five Featured quizzes about chess, and there are so many which could be added. Lego's quiz includes a concept which isn't already Featured, and turns it into a Sudden Death format with great execution. Given different possible chess move types, you need to click the ones that are actually in the game. The average person might not know them very well, but that's what makes the quiz great. I doubt it will ever be Featured, but is definitely worthy.

Lego also has this quiz called Golf Calls - Sudden Death which is of a similar concept; you have to click all the correct types of golf shots on a hole. Just thought I'd mention it.

Country Flags With The Same Colours

I couldn't find another quiz with the same premise, so I'll include Lego's Country Flags With The Same Colours since I do like this concept as well. It's simple, but unique, and quite difficult too. You are given a country, and based on its flag (you aren't given the flag, which I like) you have to think of other flags that have the exact same colors. You can name any flag, since their are usually multiple per answer, but the quiz is really fun to play and could be Featured.

US States By Length

US States By Length is another great concept for a quiz. For each number up to 13, you need to type states that have the right name length for each letter. While I do like the quiz, I think it could be improved. The Yellow Box would greatly help, since you do get a whole two minutes to type states without any guidelines. Or, the time could be lowered to just a minute, which would be more forcing for the quiz takers rather than leisurely type states. However, I like the quiz either way, and could see this one getting Featured.

Of course, Lego has many other great quizzes which you should check out HERE. Lego seems to be releasing quizzes regularly, so if they keep it up, I could see many of their quizzes getting Featured in the future. Lego has a plentiful amount of Sudden Death and A-Z style quizzes, as well as a diversity of others. A Hidden Gem in my opinion, and deserving of the attention.

LegoBuilderOne in the Community

Lego doesn't have any blogs, so I skipped that section. Lego also isn't extremely active in the strict community here, but still hops on to make quizzes every now and then. Lego also takes quizzes, I often get a comment from him lol. There isn't much to say here other than that Lego is surely a Hidden Gem, so go take some more of their quizzes!

Well, that wraps up this blog. Overall, I'm just suggesting you support this user. They make really good content that tends to go unnoticed. Not always, but sometimes. I will make more of these in the future, as I already have ideas of who I want to feature in upcoming blogs. Thanks for reading, and if you haven't clicked on those links above, do so now!
