Shining Light on Hidden Gems #8 - Tayger

In this series, I will be displaying users who you may or may not know so well, but that I think deserves more credit. This could be that the user has well made quizzes which don't have many plays, or that the user is a great person and should be recognized by more people. Whatever the case may be, I will be talking about it here. This is not an interview, as that would be a direct ripoff of baptistegorce's "Interview of a JetPunker" series, which is not my intention at all. I simply want to spotlight users who I think should be more popular. Enjoy!

I have selected user Tayger as my eighth entry in this series because, like Sony, he is also a close JetPunk friend. Not only this, but he makes some really underrated quizzes (big surprise). Now, all in all, Tayger isn't so much of a Hidden Gem anymore, considering the fact he has 100,000 quiz takes by now. This was with the help of many more Features than the usual Hidden Gem, but I'll explain all that below. As for now, I still think he deserves to be recognized.

Tayger has accumulated over 100k quiz takes as of posting this blog. He made this possible by reaching 12 Featured quizzes in many different languages including English, Spanish, French, and Polish. However, only having 25 subscribers and 240 quizzes, this is still an impressive feat. I have to say Tayger, you aren't the most Hidden Gem anymore... Either way, he still has some Unfeatured quizzes that go under the radar, which I want to highlight in this blog. You can go check out all his amazing Featured quizzes in your own time, since talking about them here feels like a waste of time. Now, here is what I think Tayger's best quizzes are!

His Linkin Park Songs - Sudden Death is his most taken Unfeatured quiz, and has just surpassed 3,000 takes. Having 4 nominations, it isn't the most upvoted quiz of his, but still holds a nice challenge. The goal of the quiz is simple: click on all the Linkin Park songs without clicking on a song not made by them. For a guy like me who doesn't know the first thing about Linkin Park, it's a difficult quiz (besides being able to guess at random). For the fans, it should be a breeze. There are plenty of Sudden Death song quizzes, and this one is just as well made. Although unlikely, I could see this quiz getting Featured. However, Tayger has many other great and underrated quizzes to choose from.

Groups by Countries - Pt 1 is another nice quiz idea by Tayger. Having only half the takes as the quiz mentioned above, it has four times the nominations. This is likely due to the fact that it requires more brain power, and being a more fun challenge all around. For this quiz, you are given clues which you have to use to try and guess the countries. Once you identify all the countries, the overall goal is to guess the unique international organization they make up. A very fun quiz, and to make it better, there's more! Take all of them and see how well you do.

A nice, simple geography quiz is his Biggest Cities in South America by Country. The quiz mentioned above might be a little bit challenging for the geography nerds, but this one is just that much more difficult. The user needs to name the top five most populous cities in each South American country. Simple, you say? Give it a go! Some countries are easy for me, like Brazil and Colombia. Others... yeah the nerds got those. I like the idea, and nominated it myself. It only has 6, and with a little more than 50 takes, it's certainly an underrated quiz. Should be Featured in my opinion.

It was rather hard to find individual quizzes of his that stand out to me. This is because he has so many great quizzes all in the same series, like this series being named SVGs. As you could guess, all of these quizzes are made using an SVG, or Scalable Vector Graphics. His most popular quiz in this great series is Color the Flags, where the user needs to identify the grayed-out flags that are missing their colors. Very fun quiz. Another great SVG in this series is his Misplaced Capitals on a Map. This is exactly like it sounds, where 12 capital cities are not in their correct location on the map, and you need to identify which ones are misplaced. Challenging yet fun. Go check out all the other quizzes in this series, as they are all just as good as these two, if not even worthy of a Feature.

A popular quiz idea, Tayger has made many great quizzes expanding the idea further with his own World Map Sudden Death Series. The goal for all of these quizzes is to click the square of the world that applies to what the quiz is asking, in this case, all squares of the world that France has territory in. His most taken quiz in this series, as well as his most taken quiz overall, is France - Mort subite sur une carte, which has gained around 25,000 takes as of posting this blog, far surpassing his other quizzes in takes. All of the other quizzes in his series are fun quizzes to take, so don't miss out!

Of course, Tayger has many other great quizzes which you should check out HERE. I love his quizzes, and even though he has passed 100k takes, a lot of his better quizzes still remain unnoticed, at least in the English Section. I don't talk a whole lot about other languages, but as for Tayger, he shines bright in more than one.

Tayger only has one blog. However, it's a good blog. It's about his magnificent milestone of 100k takes on JetPunk! The blog everybody should strive to make one day. Tayger's blog is great, showcasing his journey from the start as a little Tayger Cub and how he got all the way up here to a grown Tayger. He talks about all the things he discovered on JetPunk, his favorite quizzes, and his favorite JetPunkers. Another specific JetPunk housecat is at the top of that list. Much thanks :)

I'm happy my friend was able to reach this milestone. As you can tell, I think he is a great and underrated Quizmaker on the site, and while 100k takes is still a lot, everybody has those fantastic quizzes that may never be seen. I'm glad to spotlight Tayger and his journey to the stars, as he deserves everything he's achieved. Hopefully we get to see more Tayger blogs in the future.

Tayger isn't all that active in the community. After certain happenings in April of this year, he became a whole lot less active. Even still, he didn't quit JetPunk, and continued to make many more great quizzes for his fans. This dedication allowed him to reach the milestone above.

He does participate in games from the Blogging Section of JetPunk. Over the past few months, many unique Blog games have sprouted up, most of which Tayger has joined in on. Since there isn't much to do on JetPunk besides quiz and blog, Tayger stayed active by doing a bit of both.

Well, that wraps up this blog. Overall, I'm just suggesting you support this user. He makes really good content that tends to go unnoticed. Not always, but sometimes.
