Interesting Facts Can Kill #4

Intro

Welcome.. To Interesting Facts Cand Kill #4!

In this blog, page 4 of the JetPunk Interesting Facts page (yes, my hyperlinks are working!) will be covered, DANGERFIED, and be hanged, drawn and quartered!

Oops. I think I went to far with that. Never mind!

Oh, and 'dangerfied' is an official word in the JetPunk Dictionary (in case you're wondering)!

Wait... There's no such thing?!? Never mind, then...

Now, back to the original topic... Introducing... FACT 16:

16. More Americans died in the Civil War than in all foreign wars combined.

This seems like yet another patriotic fact! Luckily, I don't need to call Capybarra, as Capy has helped answer to why this fact is dangerous already, in the previous blog!

This fact, like fact 12, shows people's willingness to die for (in my opinion) pointless reasons. Witch is dangerous, and letting everyone know about this in the past may result in other people copying and dying in more civil wars (not very civil of them...). Which is bad (did I need to add this?).

Definitely not what you want to be a role model of the general public.

Civil wars = BAD

Dying = BAD

Dying + Civil wars = Dying IN civil wars

Dying IN civil wars = BAD + BAD

BAD + BAD = BADBAD (I've clearly been brainwashed by my maths teachers, but my friends don't believe me when I tell them... Take this as proof @gklearner (doesn't realise that the friend is also brainwashed by maths...))

So, therefore 'dying in civil wars' is extremely bad. As is being brainwashed by maths teachers.

17.  People from Moscow are known as Muscovites.

This fact is dangerous because of many reasons, choose your favourite to read and believe:

1. It isn't interesting, so it is wasting storage space, which could be used for more important purposes. This also encourages people to suggest boring facts, wasting yet more online space (which is also bad for the environment, as electricity is made, mostly through the burning of coal, creating fossil fuels, or hydropower stations usually destroy a large portion of the environment to be made.)

2. The fact is encouraging cities to have different names for the residents, which may cause wars, like if the 'Sydneysiders' are called 'Sidneys' by the 'Melbournians', because they were called 'Melbourners' by the 'Brisbanites' because they were called... You've got the point by now. Allowing cities to have a special name for their citizens is NOT a good idea. And it will cause civil wars, and people die and dying in civil wars is...(not going to keep going down that track again))

3. This fact is teaching people Russian, as 'Moscow' in Russian is pronounced 'Moskva' (found this out after researching for a geography assessment on Moscow, and my teacher was wondering how the Russians pronounce it...). Teaching people a new language without them noticing will lead to them confusing their Russian/German/French/+A billion other languages (yes, Elvish, Klingon and Emoji count) with English.

4. This fact is probably wrong. Like how 'octopi' is actually grammatically incorrect, chances are, other grammar-related facts are also wrong. (Please don't keep re-reading this paragraph to find traces of Murphy's Law...)

Fun photo to make things more interesting

18 Believe it or not, Maine is the U.S. state that is geographically closest to Africa.

Of course I believe this... Isn't it common sense???

Uh... Don't understand this... How, exactly is this fact interesting?

More interesting fact: Perth, Australia is closer to Jakarta than it is to Australia's capital, Canberra!

And there is an island (point Nemo) closer to the International Space Station than another landmass!

(Doesn't realise that the facts I have provided are dangerous) (Oops, this is an interesting fact. Wait no... It's still boring (In my opinion). I don't need to tell you why this on is dangerous (because boring = harmless)

This fact should really be replaced... (Yes, I really am skipping this one...)

19 Angelina Jolie is the daughter of actor Jon Voight.

Agh... Not a celebrity/pop culture fact... I have no knowledge here.

I'll just say it is dangerous because it is weird/messed up or something, like how Michael Jackson had some connection to Elvis Presley, but not while they were alive or something.

So this fact is dangerous, even though I have no idea in what way exactly. If you want, you can figure out why this fact is dangerous. Just don't get me involved, or they'll hunt me down...

20 Alaska’s "Little Diomede" island is just 2.3 miles from Russia’s "Big Diomede" island.

This fact shows the dangers of geography facts, as it teaches people to name things weirdly, because somehow two different countries have islands with similar names. It's like how when you go to World Population Review, and search 'Paris', there will be a few hundred different 'Parises in USA. This will lead to data confusion and inaccuracy, making the whole whole more DANGEROUS.

When space travel becomes more advanced, and they end up naming completely different planets the same name... Uh oh. You'll travel to the wrong 'earth', which will be a few billion lightyears away...

Extra fact:  Instead of a census, the Netherlands government gathers information about people from migration forms and social media accounts.

I've been trudging extremely slowly through writing this blog so far... And...

OH NO

After wondering why Google Maps wasn't working, and restarting my computer, the wheel of names did save the user fact wheel!!! Sorry for whoever gave fact suggestions, I should be able to get to

So... I realised that I had inputted a fun fact in one of my other blogs, so I need to educate you on the many deadly reasons of its dangers.

From Interesting Facts Can Kill 2:

Instead of a census, the Netherlands government gathers information about people from migration forms and social media accounts. (Maybe should have been Belgium)

Dangerfied version:

This fact is dangerous because it is an example for governments to start stalking their citizen's information online, instead of letting them willingly volunteer their information.

Imagine if the government you lived in had people search for traces of your existence online through all those 'safe and secure' social media platforms...

(Sorry if you live in Netherlands. This was written of extremely limited knowledge over overseas countries. Please correct me (kindly)if I got anything wrong in this section))

Extra Part!

Funny quotes: "This blog looks too short, so let's make it long!

" - Capybarra

(I'm just doing this purely to make the blog longer... But I have a nice quote:

"Sporcle has more adds per page than Quizmaster has levels"

-Wizzandy

This part is not worth reading. I won't include this next blog, as it is boring.

Unfortunate end of the whole (not month, but rather) week quiz drop

Sadly, I don't have enough quizzes to complete more than a week of releasing quizzes, so the quiz drop won't be happening, as I am really busy, and cannot spend too much time on JetPunk (Term 3 is a 9 week term, with the same amount of curriculum for the students to learn...)

So... the quiz drop is now a weekly quiz drop, and will come to an end. I will hopefully either prepare quizzes for a while before another attempt, of just (somewhat) regularly release quizzes.

I'll release the remaining quizzes soon (but not today)

Conclusion

Sorry if this blog wasn't as interesting as past ones, as I've really rushed it (having Capy really helped last time). Also, the facts are becoming less interesting...

Hopefully you enjoyed this shoddy issue...

Thanks...

😥

Hopefully you didn't fall asleep. I will make the next one more interesting (I hope). I've read this around three times... I personally think this is hopeless...

Thanks for reading! (Attempts to be happy)

The U.S. Civil War was about the abolishment of slavery. Probably the most just and least pointless war you could possibly fight in aside from preventing genocide.
