Interesting Facts Can Kill #8

Intro

Welcome to (yet another) Interesting Facts Can Kill blog!

As I haven't been killed/horrifically injured by these facts so far, I might as well keep going.

(Btw, including this for no reason, but I was reading 'The Mysterious Island" by Jules Vern, and the characters, being stranded on an island killed a Capybarra with a stick and ate it (cooked, luckily. Wait. I don't think dead capybaras are lucky.). It was traumatising (the book mentioned that the characters liked eating it).)

Anyways, now to fact 36 (already?!?)...

36.  Viking warriors served as elite troops in the army of the Byzantine Empire.

Wait... The Byzantine Empire was what became of the Roman Empire, right?

Well...

This fact is an annoying history fact. Wait, why is this being crossed out??? IT IS AN ANNOYING HISTORY FACT!  is dangerous, because it is (meant to be) teaching people to not make the same mistakes as the past... WAIT. WHY IS MY WRITING SO SMALL

I never even knew that it was possible to change blog font-size... @Any_experienced_bloggers, is this a bug?

Help!!!

Help!!!

*Screams*

*Inserts new textbox*

YAY! Back to normal.

Well, my train of though has derailed, so I'll restart.

This fact is (was? I didn't know the Byzantine Empire still exists. But this fact certainly still does...) dangerous, as

*Forgets about this for about a week, and wonders what all the commotion is about*

I guess it's back to normal as I re-opened the blog...

So, this fact is dangerous because it is a boring history fact because it shows how unstable the world used to be. The people in the Byzantine Empire seriously needed to resort to hiring Vikings as their best unit of army?

Now, people who read this fact will know to attack people who's armies are so bad that they need to hire others for last resort! (Wait... No... I'll lost ECBR and stuff like that if people do that...)

37 Sarah Palin never said that she could see Russia from her house. That quote came from Saturday Night Live star Tina Fey.

I have no idea what this fact is about... it can't kill me, right???

1. I Don't know who Sarah Palin is

2. I've never heard of that quote before, and without context it is coonfusing

3. What's 'Saturday Night Live'???

4. I've only heard of 'Tina Fey' from booking.com ads??? Does that have anything to do with this?

Since I have no idea what makes this fact 'interesting', it isn't dangerous, right?

*Screams as the fact attempts to kill me*

38.  The book Moby Dick starts with the famous opening line "Call me Ishmael".

*Hides in a wardrobe with a computer*

Uh... yay? Uh... this fact is also boring. Ugh. This is why I've been procrastinating on this blog for ages...

If the rest of the facts are that boring... I might as well quit.

I officially give up.

The next fact was...

39. Moore's Law states that number of transistors on a microchip doubles every 12-24 months. This law generally held true for fifty years, from 1965-2015, but many people think the rate of doubling is now slower.

Which is boring. And the one after is:

40. In contrast to Moore's law, Eroom's law states that the cost of developing a new pharmaceutical drug doubles every 9 yearsWhy are these facts so boring 😭

Outro

Due to the lack of interesting facts, I'll either go through the IF page until I find a few facts that interest me, or I'll quit this series altogether (I might as well blame in on 'blog fatigue'...)

Btw, underneath is something random I saw on JetPunk the other day.

Quizmaster somehow rigged my 'suggested quizzes' list to quizzes with horses???
A Christmas Pusheen to sign off...
