My TDJ Experience

Image #0 :)

From reading the title, you should be able to tell what this is about. But in case you have no idea what this is about, I'll tell you!

So... I had a very dumb/excellent idea to sign up for a game, after reading the blog in the picture above!

Not knowing where it'd lead me, I signed up, wanting to be more involved in the wonderful JetPunk community, not knowing where it'd lead me, and how much fun I'd have!

Useful stuff

At first, I had no idea what it was about. I didn't know anyone on my team, except LuckyCat, and Amphi64, from reading JetPunk traitors, another blog game hosted by Capybarra!

So... the original Screaming Gophers (my allocated team) group was deleted, so I'll try remember as much as I can.

And now that I gave you the link to Capybarra's blog, I will not need to summarise what happened (I had enough of the challenge...). I'll just be giving occasional screenshots of my alliances, and explain stuff, I guess.

This blog is me giving you pictures of stuff, and explaining stuff as I go along. Hopefully I'll cover the most interesting parts and aspects of the drama.

Image(s) 1 - Screaming Gophers Allies

The first alliance

This is the first alliance I was in, invited in by thegoatisgoaty. It consisted of me, Insaniot, Pontiac, TGIG (thegoatisgoaty), bantqq1 and Capybarra (because he needed to see the drama).

Soon after, LuckyCat was added in (per my request)

My first words in the alliance (sorry TGIG)
"I want to be more secretive" 😭

I guess at the start of the game, I was quite a bit paranoid (like what Capy said in the finale summary). I just didn't have much experience and was very worried (and didn't know how to keep secrets, I guess. Well, throughout the game, I learnt that keeping secrets didn't work out, and are not good ways to do stuff).

Sadly, soon after the alliance was created, bantqq1 had to leave the game, and TGIG was swapped out of the Screaming Gophers group for Kilo, who was originally from the Killer Bass team (more on that later).

The only real interesting thing about that alliance was the every single person in that alliance (with an exception of Bantqq1) made it past the merge! TGIG said it in the TDJ Merge group:

Bottom one

And I used it to my advantage in the semi-finals (pre finale? What's the terminology?) in cathlete's proposed challenge, two truths and a lie (it makes me feel evil now...)

I don't like lying :(

*Explanation*

I had found an idol after LuckyCat had used his in the previous round (when idols are used, Capy spins a wheel or something to determine if it would go back into the game).

I found it in Capybarra's only chart (as of now), and decided to give it to Pontiac.

I told Capy to give it to Pontiac, and he did. (I guess it counts as I had an idol, right?

And the next one will be covered in the next section

Image #2 My Allies

Throughout the game, I had a lot of allies (I think everyone was my ally after Bauty was eliminated).

It mainly started after the first round, and I had an impression that having more allies would guarantee my safety. So, I thought it'd be safe to create alliances with Pontiac, TGIG and Amphi64 (I think. I deleted it after he was eliminated). Soon after, however, TGIG switched teams, but the alliance was still there (as you have seen above already).

I eventually created more 1-on-1 alliances, with KiloNova, HubertThePhoenix, while InfiniteBulk created one with me.

From the split-and-steal challenge

As you probably have read from above, I had (quite strong) alliances with InfiniteBulk and KiloNova (in my opinion). Hubert, however, didn't get to do much in the alliance, except test if the comment would get through, before he was eliminated.

Alliance list:

Screaming Gophers allies (thegoatisgoaty, bantqq1, Pontiac, Insaniot, me)

Former Gophers (Insaniot, Pontiac, LuckyCat, me, Nickelz)

Kilo stuff (not really an alliance) (KiloNova, LuckyCat, me, cathlete, ItzIngenious, Insaniot (Pontiac?))

Screaming Bass (basically post-merge people.)

MeMeMe Insaniot (Insaniot, me, and after, Pontaic. At first it was considered a 1 on 1 alliance, I guess)

Private alliances:

LuckyCat (sort of)

Pontaic

KiloNova

cathlete

ItzIngenious

Insaniot (after Pontaic was added)

thegoatisgoaty

Amphi64

HubertThePhoenix

Nickelz

InfiniteBulk

A grand total of 11! I mostly used it to gather information (didn't really know what to do with it, but it was an insight for me about my compeditors/allies)

Please note, I may have withheld info from some people, but I never lied (that I know of) :)

Fun Fact (maybe not so fun. Sorry!): BautyArg was my last non-ally. I had voted him for two rounds before he was finally eliminated. In the round he was eliminated, there was a voting after ex-Gopher LuckyCat was eliminated. Knowing that the Bass would be completely unified in voting, I got through my alliances, rallying up the Gophers (and InfiniteBulk) to vote for a Bass to make it even. It happened to be Bauty.

If I hadn't done it, Itz might not have been back into the game. cathlete might have won.

I guess that one move changed everything...

Image(s) #3 Votes Cast

First round:

The first round, I voted Nickelz. I originally voted SirPhilippines, but changed my mind, deciding that being offline doesn't make them need to be voted out. I guess I didn't know who Nickelz is, and didn't really like his quizzes (sorry!!!).

Second round:

Like most Gophers, I voted Nickelz. The tactic was fine, but the fact the Nickelz was offline/didn't choose in time caused us to lose the game (plus, I 'knew he was trouble'. Just joking! I was just glad it wasn't me!)

Third round voting:

I voted LuckyCat. I'm confused, and was confused with my choices. I just wanted to vote with my new ally, Amphi64! And I blamed LuckyCat for not being assigned station 1 by Kilo. I was in school, and I saw the dreaded comment on one of my quizzes - Kilo assigned me it. And it was one of the only stations not yet found... Argh. (Serves Lucky right for voting for me in the other rounds (not that I knew), and rejecting my invite to be allies...)

Fourth voting:

I voted LuckyCat again, this time blaming him for another obscure silly reason (which I forgot).

Sadly/Luckily (Lucky's specialty?), Amphi was eliminated in a tiebreaker in the previous round (which I forgot to vote... Such a bad ally I was! I'll learn...), and I wouldn't vote for him again!

Fifth voting:

I had immunity, along with cathlete, and forgot that there was such thing as voting (Capy put it as 'abstained' on the voting chart... It's more accurate as 'forgot'... 😅)

Sixth voting:

The was like 5 rounds where I didn't vote... And the merge happened.

I thought of KiloNova as a good ally, despite the 'betrayal' he did. After we were strong allies, I guess.

The grand truce!

I voted Bauty, because I sensed a 'manipulative manner' in him... (idk if it was accurate).

My words were showcased to everyone: "I can't trust someone who leaks info into blogs".

Seventh voting:

In this voting, I made a desicion that was good/bad decision to vote my old ally, thegoatisgoaty. I thought he might have been threat, having a golden idol. I had no idea of the insanity that happened because of that. I had actually originally planned to vote Xtrodinary, but I was scared he had a vote view or something.

Can you really blame me, after being left on 'read'?

Eighth voting:

In this round, I tried to pull the Gophers together, knowing that all but one other Gopher voted for one of their teamates!!! It didn't work, as the Gophers weren't unified.

After, KiloNova told me that he didn't vote for a golden idol, yet there was exactly one vote per player. I over-reacted, and sensed foul play. After, Itz told me that it was his/cathlete's twist. Ugh

Ninth voting:

This is where the 'fun fact' in the above section happened. I won't repeat it again.

Tenth voting:

By this round, I was allies with everybody. Not wanted to favour one ally over another, I voted Nickelz to see what'd happen :) (despite him having immunity already)

Eleventh voting:

In this round, I, along with Nickelz chose to vote InfiniteBulk over ItzIngenious (sorry! I was extremely daunted by the bad words in our alliance. And wanted to respect me and TGIG's plans to help Itz win)

And that is all I voted for in TDJ! :)

Image(s) #4 Interesting quotes

(Please note that some are reworded, as the groups have been deleted)

"It's not like the game's called 'Total Friendship JetPunk'" - Nickelz

😭
Sad. (If you want to take a screenshot of a small comment, zoom in!
Awkward...

If you have any suggestions as to what else to add, tell me! :)

Images #5 Rounds I should've been eliminated

Yep. I can name at least five instances that I was nearly eliminated/should've been...

Instance 1: First round

I was horrified, after the first round (as you probably already know), but I just checked the voting chart, and saw that SirPhilippines had received a self-vote. If he voted, he probably would've voted me. And I'd be out in the very first challenge!

Instance 3:

Apparently in some round, the Bass were planning to vote me out. But they didn't. Thanks to whoever stopped them?

Instance 4:

Semi-finals round!

In that round, there were ten challenges, all which provide points, where the loser is eliminated.

Interestingly, I got first place in 6/12 challenges, getting 12 points, but in the other four, I didn't grab a single point.

Guessing 'Poland' as my country was pure luck (thanks Tayger/TigerPl/RealTiger/TigerNiger (I probably missed a name or two)!)

Also, if the OfficialWheel swapped me an Nickelz, the whole round would've been a 3-way-tie!

Instance 5: The last round

This one isn't really 'eliminated' but more of 'didn't win'. I was NOT expecting votes for some people and such.

My honest predictions

Most of the votes I didn't expect came to me, while one of them (InfiniteBulk's) went to Itz (surprising given the anger I felt he had towards Itz...)

So... Big thanks to...

BautyArg. No idea why he didn't stick with Itz and the Bass.

Tayger. Confused as well. My only interaction to him was to thank him for being from Poland (ties with the previous instance as well)

Trompete79. I'm confused. He voted me too be out in a previous round, and now votes me to win (probably a mistake?)

:) Without those unexpected plays, I'd be eliminated!

Image ? My reflection

I sort of lost determination writing this blog, so shortened it a lot compared to what I originally intended (I hope it's fine with you guys)

Through my TDJ experience (which includes the writing of this blog), I have come to realise

1. Plan for the worst. This is something that cathlete didn't do the best, despite having the 'best strategy' (sorry!) . When making plans, you can't count on people listening to you 100%. I even had doubts with InfiniteBulk when he said he voted BautyArg.

I guess, if you plan for the worst, the only surprises are good surprises!

2. Lying doesn't work. Manipulating people and doing stuff behind people's backs isn't good. What KiloNova did broke a lot of (thankfully in-game) trust between him and his allies, making him a target. So... The truth is always better.

3. The Power of Positivity! Yes, I may have advised you to plan for the worst, but do so with a hint of positivity! Every cloud has its silver lining! In the one-word-at-a-time-story, being in a completely different timezone seemed like a massive disadvantage. But being in a different time zone was an advantage, as I didn't need to stay up late to read Capy's blog. They came out conveniently in the morning/afternoon for me! You have no idea how much I gained from that...

4. No enemies, only friends. Throughout the game, there were times where I was confused, and people (mainly Itz) seemed to be enemy-like. But the important thing to remember is that no one on this site is an enemy! They may be friendly rivals, but no enemies! :) (We ended up being allies after...)

So scary...

5. Capybarra has put a ton of effort and determination into making his games. I've seen and experienced many bloggers starting off with a lot of blogs at first, then dying down and losing determination and stuff (if you want, Pontiac, I could help with ECBR). I myself have been struggling to make a blog a tenth of the character length of the TDJ finale! Big shout-out to Capybarra :)

Image #-1 (cause why not?)

Thanks for reading! And a shout-out to everyone who participated in the game! Without you being eliminated, I would've never won!

Yours Sincerely,

MeMeMe333

P.S, I didn't proof read this, so if you don't understand anything/see mistakes in information/have found more than 10 grammar/spelling mistakes worth changing, PLEASE tell me! :)

I laughed when my alt account got wrapped up in TDJ with Capy stating "(I guess it's because MeMeMe was allies with Pontiac, and Pontiac = The Wheel?)" on Episode 17 part 2 lol
