A Strange Scooby-Doo Story

June 20, 2017

One day a couple years ago, like 2022, I was browsing through Google about Be Cool Scooby-Doo for... reasons. And I noticed the airing order was different than the order I watched them in.

The order I remember was (skipping a few episodes in the beginning) Giant Problems then The People vs. Fred Jones. But Google's airing order was: Giant Problems, Eating Crow, I Scooby-Dooby Do, El Bandito, Into the Mouth of Madcap, The Norse Case Scenario, AND THEN The People vs. Fred Jones! But I remembered watching them as they aired, I recorded the episodes, and it was Giant Problems and The People vs. Fred Jones as the last two episodes. So, I did some digging and here's what I found: All those episodes aired on the same day, June 20, 2017, my research didn't stop there though, I found the airing schedule for Boomerang on June 20, 2017, and they aired back-to-back from 1:00 to 3:30 A.M.! And I like Scooby-Doo, just not that much to watch it from 1-3:30 a.m.

So that settles it when I watched the episodes, it wasn't the first airing, I was watching a rerun.

But I still have unanswered questions like, why did they all air the same day? And why did they air from 1:00 to 3:30 in the morning?

ive heard companies air stuff they are forced to air (by law or maybe in this case, contract) in midnight hours to free-up more lucrative hours for other programming

maybe they were required to air the first run that day, but had other programming going on so put it into the midnight hours
