The 10 Most Powerful Spider-Man Villains

THE RANKING

10 Sandman First Appearance: The Amazing Spider-Man #4

As the Sandman, Flint Marko has the ability to alter his body in any way he pleases, in one comic he pops Spider-Man like a balloon. The more sand he amasses, the more powerful he can be. if he went to say, the Sahara he might be unstoppable, his weaknesses however are, he's made of sand and things like rain and extreme heat can temporarily stop him.

9 Mysterio First Appearance: The Amazing Spider-Man #13

Mysterio may not be a physical threat to the wall crawler but more of a mental one. His illusions could disorient anybody lower and higher on the list, Spider-Man can only escape the illusions by using his spider sense. If he went toe to toe with Sandman, Mysterio would win eight out of ten fights.

8 The Jackal First Appearance: The Amazing Spider-Man #129 (#31 as Miles Warren)

The Jackal is a very similar villain to the Green Goblin, but I think the Jackal is a more dangerous foe to Spider-Man because in most media, The Green Goblin's powers come from a formula that essentially gives Norman Osborn a split personality, while the Jackal is the same man all the time. After the death of Gwen Stacy, Miles Warren learned martial arts in an attempt to get revenge on Spider-Man whom, Warren blamed for her death. More a mental threat, I feel he could overcome Mysterio's illusions and Sandman's... sand.

7 Digger First Appearance: Amazing Spider-Man (Vol. 2) #51

Digger is definitely a more obscure villain, but that doesn't make him any less dangerous. 7 mob bosses were killed, and a Gamma Radiation bomb went off on the grave site, which in turn created Digger, He's essentially a zombie Hulk. He's an unstoppable force that can't be killed. The limit to his power is that most of it is used to keep himself together as if he stops using the powers, he falls apart.

6 The Living Brain First Appearance: The Amazing Spider-Man #8

The Living Brain is, as the name suggests, a living brain. It's a supercomputer that can solve virtually any problem. After its creator is killed, it malfunctioned causing it to go on a rampage. A foe that can solve any problem is just a smarter version of Jackal. The only caveat, however, is it's a computer on wheels, it's not that hard to stop

5 Carnage First Appearance: The Amazing Spider-Man #361

Carnage is walking chaos; he's Doppelganger (a more monstrous clone of Spider-Man) turned up to eleven. Cletus Kassidy was a serial killer before he bonded with the alien symbiote Carnage, as Carnage, he has extreme strength and the symbiote can rearrange itself to fit any shape He wants. In a fight between the lower ranked villains, he'd be on top, but he wouldn't beat my number 4

4 Morlun First Appearance: The Amazing Spider-Man Vol. 2 #30

Morlun is an interdimensional being, whose sole purpose is killing Spider-Men. He has the ability to absorb the life force of people and is seemingly immortal, he's definitely powerful, just it's about a 50/50 whether he beats Carnage.

3 Venom First Appearance: The Amazing Spider-Man #299

Venom is a version of Carnage just not completely insane. As Venom, Eddie Brock had the memories of the symbiote when it was bonded to Spider-Man. He is incredibly strong and totally a contender for the number one spot, but I do think he'd lose to my next pick

2 Shathra First Appearance: Amazing Spider-Man Vol. 2 #46

Shathra, like Morlun, is an interdimensional being, she is the daughter of a literal Goddess, Shathra's sister created "The Great Web" basically a web connecting Spider-People across the multiverse. She became hellbent on destroying this and all the Spider-People within, to the point the chaos consumed her and transformed her from human looking into a Wasp like monster. She beats everyone on my list so far and I see her winning four fights against my number one pick.

1 Spot First Appearance: Spectacular Spider-Man #99

The Spot is to me the most powerful villain Spider-Man has come across, his ability to create portals is seemingly unlimited in the sense he could make a portal wherever he pleases. He could make a portal inside your body and rip you apart from the inside, if he were in a fight against Shathra, he could simply send her into the sun, or thousands of lightyears away.
