A Tale of Two (Oklahoman) Cities

Guthria and Oklahoma City were both founded on April 22, 1889. By the following year Guthrie was the territorial capital and had over a thousand more settlers than Oklahoma City. So what happened to this city? Surely it's one of the largest in the state?
