US State flags Ranked!

50. Georgia: I have just learned they use the battle flag of the confederacy.

49. North Dakota: There isn't Really anything original about this flag except for the "North Dakota" Written on the bottom.

48. New York: Similar to North Dakota, not much is original.

47. Illinois: An Eagle with a shield. How original

46. Iowa: Stop copying Illinois

45. Pennsylvania: There's too much going on here. A lot of Black and Gold.

44: Missouri: Bears. Cool. WAY too many stars, and again, PLEASE STOP PUTTING YOUR STATE SEAL ON YOUR FLAG

43: Minnesota: Interesting Colors. STATE SEAL ON BLUE BACKGROUND THOUGH AAAAA

42. Vermont: A nice flag except for the beheaded deer on top.

41. South Dakota: Different shade of blue with a sun. But words are a no-no

40: Kansas: Sunflower, Seal, all ok. The giant KANSAS on the bottom, no

39: Nebraska: Nice use of yellow, but the seal isn't a good thing.

38. New Hampshire: Too much going on. Ships, trees, on a blue background.

37. Montana: Same as Kansas

36: Kentucky: Simple seal, not so simple Edging.

35. New Jersey: Not a blue background, but, what is it with the US and beheaded animals?!

34. Idaho: A shield inside a shield. Wow

33. Delaware: A lovely shade of blue, but the seal is so confusing

32. Wisconsin: Seals pretty bad, the shade of blue is ok, but the words are too confusing and you cant read them all too well.

31. West Virginia: Bad seal. Remove it, and you've got a great flag.

30. Connecticut: Again, too much going on. Tons of trees and scrolls.

29. Virginia: Im probably biased about this one, but still, someone standing on top of someone? Why Virginia why?

28. Maine: Pine tree seal. Pretty neat, and no beheaded animals!

27. Utah: Motto, words are a no-no. But the beehive is a nice touch.

26. Oregon: I give this one extra credit for being 2 sided.

25. Louisiana: I like the seal. It represents the State and its easily recognizable.

24. Maryland. No more seals, but there is too much going on.

23. California: Good flag, but words. ugh words

22. Florida: A state seal in a cross. At least its not a blue background

21. Washington: Green background. Very creative.

20. Massachusetts. White background with a man and a star. Pretty neat

19. Hawaii: A nice flag, if it wasn't a cross between the UK and US.

18. Indiana: Cool flag. Remove or make the stars a bit smaller and you're good

17. Michigan: It turns out this state flag has a LOT more meaning to it! Deer, Elk, 2 Mottos! Wow! if only it weren't on a blue background....

16. Arkansas: Same as California. Neat flag, but WORDS AAAAAAAAAA

15. Rhode Island: A nice, simple seal on a nice background. I believe the border is missing because it looks like the flag is fused to the pole.

14. Wyoming. A state seal inside a buffalo. That's new.

13. North Carolina: A simple, elegant flag. Noice

12. Nevada: A simple seal, tucked away in the corner. creative.

11. Alabama: The most simple of the flags, very impressive.

10. Tennessee: Simple, bold, recognizable, this flag meets all the criteria to be great.

9. South Carolina: Two shapes. Cool color scheme = Good flag

8. Oklahoma: This one is my favorite seal, because It represents Oklahoma in tons of ways. Would be higher if they removed the "Oklahoma" on the bottom.

7. Colorado: Would be better if not for the Giant "C" in the left. otherwise, good flag.

6. Texas: Simple, Bold, Pretty, Amazing flag, but not really Unique.

5. Ohio: A bit Confusing, but I dig the shape.

4. Alaska: Stars. 7 small and 1 Big. Unique, Bold, Cool flag!

3. New Mexico: Simple, Bold, and Gnarly color scheme. This flag takes the 3rd spot!

2. Arizona: I am thoroughly impressed. A rising sun. Sunbeams. Cool colors. Before 2020, this would be #1

1. Mississippi: New, Fairly simple. Cool colors. Sure, it has words, but not too many. The stripes are cool. My

favorite part is the Magnolia in the center!
