Pontilandia

Pontilandia's flag is of a sun, 3 stars, and the country's emblem. The sun stands for the light that Pontilandia is supposed to be to the world. The Stars stands for the 3 countries that Pontilandia sits on (Indonesia, Papua New Guinea, and Timor-Leste) while the circle is for the Australia part. The Chicken Emblem stands for our poultry with the leaves being the Pontsage (a herb grown in Pontilandia).

Pontilandia is a relatively small country. The markers are the locations of cities in Pontilandia. The Capital (Galania) is in red. Darwin is in purple. Nuccarra is in dark blue. Timika is in light blue. Kunchurra is in Brown. Broome is in yellow. Dorence is in orange. Parasilidia is in dark green. Greenville is in light green. Flance is pink. The one shaded area are territories which are disputed. Purple is Timor.

Currently it is 2290. Pontilandia was in a total of 6 wars in it's history. Originally part of several different countries. In 2069, there was a rebellion in the area where Pontilandia is today. The rebellion is considered the first war in Pontilandia which was called The Pontil War, which is where the country gets it's name. The people came together from these areas and decided what exactly to do with the newly formed country. Most people from these areas spoke English so it became the official language of Pontilandia. The government is a democracy and the economy works on Capitalism. Pontilandia had a Civil war called The Pontil-Mansa Civil War. The PMCW was caused when a dictator figure was elected to the State of Mansa (Pontilandia side of Papua New Guinea) The fight was swift and Sumanuka (the dictator) was disposed of (ethically or unethically? No one knows or cares). The PMCW was the second war in Pontilandia History. The other 4 wars were all with Malaysia. The wars were as followed 1st Pontil-Malay War (2134-2136) 2nd Pontil-Malay War (2138-2139) 3rd Pontil-Malay War (2140) 4th Pontil-Malay War (2145-2150). The 4th Pontil-Malay war was the last war in Pontilandia History and the most talked about. Pontilandia was almost in WW3 but was kept out thanks to the Pontil-North American Agreement which meant every country in North America protects Pontilandia. Pontilandia has 4 states and 1 territories. The two territories were already mentioned and the three states - Ausandia (Australia Part), Papua (Papua New Guinea Part), Indoandia (Indonesia part)(The State of Mansa was renamed as Indoandia), and Jopilia (Island that is not connected). Pontilandia has 5 symbols (Sun, Chicken, 3 stars, Pontsage, and Blue Square) and 3 national holidays which are Day of Creation (March 25), Pontsage Day (June 9), and Whale Watch Day (December 3).

The Currency of Pontilandia is the Ponty (PDP). Although the USD, AUD, and the British Pound is allowed to be exchanged in Pontilandia because of there value, no other country's currency is allowed in Pontilandia. Pontilandia runs on it's own form of Capitalism called Pontilism (Note most people get this mixed as a religion Pontilandia is Christian). Pontilism is basically the same as capitalism but we change it so it doesn't get the stuff about Capitalism. 1 Ponty is equal to $0.97 USD.
