Time Saving Country Type-Ins

Type-ins are helpful for many reasons such as making a different word appear on screen when you type in an answer. Type-Ins can also be used for countries that have difficult spellings (such as Luxembourg) or have recently changed its name (Swaziland --> Eswatini) or uses two names (East Timor/Timor-Leste). Some Type-Ins can even help you save time on quizzes such as the Countries of the World and the World Capitals Quiz!

In this blog I will be showing you some type-ins for countries and capitals. I will not include some country/capital type-ins that requires you to type part of their name (Sao Tome works for Sao Tome and Principe). Tell me if I missed anything!

Here are some simple type-ins that are easy to remember:

United States --> USA

United Kingdom --> UK | GB

Dominican Republic --> DR

Democratic Republic of the Congo --> Congo | DRC

Republic of the Congo --> Congo

Central African Republic --> CAR

Federated States of Micronesia --> FSM | Micronesia

Bosnia and Herzegovina --> Bosnia

United Arab Emirates --> UAE

New Zealand --> NZ

Papua New Guinea --> PNG

Eswatini --> Swaziland

Vatican City --> Holy See

Any Saint country --> St _____

Czech Republic --> Czechia

The Netherlands --> Holland
