The Weimar Republic was Germany's constitutional republic from 1918 to 1933, with the Reichstag as its national parliament. This chart shows the Reichstag Election Results of Weimar Germany from 1919 to 1933, namely the number of seats gained by each major party. Through the election results, we may observe the alternating influence of the dominant Social Democratic Party (SDP), the fall of the democratic system, and the rapid rise of the Nazi Party (NSDAP) towards the end of the republic.
