Nature!

Introduction

Nature means "The phenomena of the physical world collectively, including plants, animals, the landscape, and other features and products of the earth, as opposed to humans or human creations."

Ever since mobile devices and other technology were invented, people stopped going outside so often. Especially the younger generation like Generation Alpha, and Gen Z. In the early 1900s, kids were always playing outside and exploring nature. This blog is about a beautiful thing on earth, nature!

2.

Biomes

Biomes are ecosystems full of life. There are animals, most of which can only survive there. So, for example, a camel is only in hot, warm biomes like deserts. Polar bears are only in cold, snowy biomes. If they swapped places, they would most likely die.

The big one is a bamboo jungle, mostly found in China, the one on the bottom left is a savannah, mostly found in Kenya and other parts of Africa, the bottom middle one is a jungle, mainly found in Indonesia and South Asia, the bottom right is the plains, mostly found in the Midwest in the United States, the part above the plains is a beach, they're found in every part of the world, with some exceptions, and the one right to the bamboo jungle is a desert, mainly found in countries like Egypt, and continents like Africa.
3.

Animals

If you could be any animal, what would you be, and where would you want to be? Well, if you choose a bison, you don't want to be in the Sahara Desert, a bison in the Sahara is stupid and you wouldn't last long. You could be a bison in Nebraska, Nebraska offers the best environment a buffalo could ask for.

4.

Ecosystems

There are several ecosystems in the continent of North America alone. Here is a map that shows it!

In this map, you can see some biomes. In the area where New York City is, that's a temperate deciduous forest. Where Miami would be is a tropical forest, where Las Vegas would be, it's is well, a desert, where Omaha is would be a grasslands biome, where Anchorage is would be a taiga, where Yellowknife is, that'd be a tundra, where Seattle is would be a temperate rainforest.
5.

Human Impact

Us humans are currently shaping how the ecosystem is. In Brazil, lumberjacks and farmers are cutting down trees, or deforesting the Amazon, this is called Climate Change, this is because of rising temperatures, which could melt glaciers. That could kill us all, and leave cities abandoned, then nuclear power plants would explode and kill more animals, them, a decrease in predators means the prey population could go up or down, if it goes down, globally, that could cause extinction.

6.

Cityscapes

Now, most of you guys wouldn't consider cities a biome, but since I don't care, I consider them one. Like New York City, or Chicago, or Tokyo. They're what they are called, Concrete Jungles!

7.

Clouds

Clouds are beautiful, well, not those strong clouds, but I'm talking about those beautiful clouds! Here are some types. Clouds form when water evaporates and rises up, when the water freezes, it becomes ice. Yeah, it's sad that they're not soft blankets.

Cumulus clouds are those puffy cotton like clouds. They're those fair weather clouds. The Latin meaning for cumulus is heap, so they're "Heap Clouds."

Cirrus clouds are thin, wispy clouds that look like white streaks or feathers high in the sky. Their name comes from the Latin word for “curl” or “lock of hair,” which fits their shape.

Storm clouds are well, storm clouds.

I'm pretty sure the cloud in this image is a Cumulus Cloud.

What To Do If You Get Lost In Nature

Just imagine this, you're hiking alone, and suddenly, your compass points to directions like crazy and a massive storm is coming. Here is what you should do: look for tinder, and something to start a fire, warmth is key to survival. Make sure you have water, if not, filter it using a cloth, that's so dirt, poop, and bugs can get off of it, there might be some bacteria, but hey, it's water, and you'll need food, so if you can use sticks as a weapon. Now for shelter, look for sticks, you can use that as a shelter, it might not be the comfort of your bed at home, but hey, it's still a shelter.

9.

Rainbows

Ah yes, rainbows, those things where we used to think there was gold at the end of the rainbow and unicorns walked on it. Well, sadly those aren't real, but rainbows mostly come at the end of rain, so they happen when water droplets reflect the sunlight.

Also, if you're on an airplane and you see a rainbow, it's a circle! That's cool!
10.

Trees

Have you ever seen sidewalks uneven? Well that's because of tree roots.

As you can see in this image, if you look close enough, you can see uneven parts of sidewalks.
In this image, this tree looks like an oak tree!
11.

Mountains

There are several natural landmarks, like Mount Kilimanjaro in Tanzania!

Mount Kilimanjaro is the tallest freestanding mountain in the world! It's 5,895 meters or 19,341 feet, that's around 5 Kilometers or  3.66 miles tall!

Mount Everest is part of the Himalayas, it's the tallest mountain in the world! It's also on Nepal and China!

Mt Everest is in Nepal and China!

Ah yes, Mount Fuji is a well known mountain, it's the tallest mountain in Japan, and next to Tokyo! So that's cool!

There's also an emoji for it!🗻
12.

Nature In Video Games

There are several games that have nature, take Minecraft for example! Also, Roblox in some experiences, Grand Theft Auto V in Blaine County, a lot of games have it!

13.

Rivers

A river is a natural stream of flowing water that usually moves downhill from higher land to lower land. It often begins at a source like a spring, lake, or melting snow in the mountains. Rivers flow through valleys and landscapes, shaping the land by erosion. Most rivers eventually empty into a larger body of water like a lake, sea, or ocean. Here is a diagram:

Below is a list of the 10 longest rivers in the world.
The Amur River is a river in both Russia and China, it's the 10th longest in the world.

The Congo River is a river in well, Congo, both on them, and some other African countries. 9th Longest!

The Parana River is the 2nd longest river in the continent of South America, but the 8th longest in the world.

The Ob River is a river in Russia, it actually covers 3,000,000 square Kilometers. That's number 7 globally!

This is a river you heard about at least once, the Yellow River, this magnificent river has been helping China grow for over 1,000 years! It's number 6.

The Yenisei-Angara River system is another one in Siberia, it's the 5th longest.

USA! Time for the Missouri-Mississippi River! Longest in the United States! It's the longest in North America, also, the Missouri River alone is 1 mile longer than the Mississippi River. 4th longest.

Ah, yes the Yangtze River, we all heard of this one, the great one in China! It's the 3rd longest.

Ok, the 2nd longest is, well, the Amazon.

The LONGEST one, according to geographers, or basically everyone is the mighty Nile River!

14.

Plateaus

A plateau is a large area of high land with a mostly flat top. It rises above the surrounding land but isn’t pointed like a mountain. Plateaus are often formed by volcanic activity, uplift of Earth’s crust, or erosion. They can be found on every continent. I like to call these "Plateau Flateau." Get it? The flat top?

15.

Natural Disasters

You're not safe anywhere on Earth from natural disasters. In New Zealand, there can be tsunamis, in Nebraska, there can be tornadoes, in Siberia, there can be avalanches, in Cuba, there can be hurricanes, in Indonesia, there can be floods, in Libya, there can be sand storms, you're not safe anywhere!

16.

Where is Some Biomes?

Below is a list of biomes and country's they're commonly found in. Biomes can be in more than one country.

Plains are commonly found in the United States. Especially in the Midwest, you see, I live in Nebraska, and I can say, there is a lot of grass, it's boring!

Taigas are commonly found in Canada, or you could say Russia, but I'll just do Canada. If you go up north, near Nunavut, or Northwestern Territories, or Yukon, you can see taigas, they can even be found in Alaska!

Rainforests are commonly found in Brazil, or Costa Rica, but as above, I'll go with Brazil. Anyway, Brazil (with some surrounding countries like Colombia, Venezuela, etc) is home to the worlds largest rainforest, the mighty Amazon!

Deserts are commonly found in most parts of the world, but for this, I'll go with Australia. It's pretty obvious that Australia doesn't have much people. Even the state of California has more people. That's because of how hot and humid it is. Despite being one of the largest countries in the world, more than 90 percent of it is desert. BORING! Well, you Aussies are cool, no offense.

17.

Most Beautiful Biomes According to Me.

Some biomes can be beautiful, peaceful conditions, but for some biomes, they're ugly and brutal, I'll give you the 5 most beautiful biome according to me.

Number 1 is the meadow, just look at it! It's so beautiful, those flowers, that sunrise, the trees in the distance. I love it.
I know! I know! There are barely any forests in Nebraska, well except near South Dakota, near Valentine, Nebraska. But JUST LOOK IT THIS! This is like a Boy Scout's dream, just trails at every direction!
Now, the bluffs! These ACTUALLY are in Nebraska! Near Scottsbluff. Why would it be called that if there weren't any bluffs? They're just big cliffs, they look like mountains.
Gulfs are BEAUTIFUL! Believe it or not, but in a year or so, I'm going to Texas, Corpus Christi to be exact. I am pretty sure this image is the Gulf of Mexico.
These are taigas, no comments, they just look cool. But not as cool as the meadows.
18.

Space

Did you know outer space is actually part of nature? That's because space is not man-made. Space is both deadly and beautiful.

This is an image of every single planet in the Solar System. Earth is the 3rd planet away from the sun.
19.

Humans

Humans are NATURE!!! 99% of our DNA is shared with Chimpanzees.

20.

My Thought

So, I think everything is nature, we didn't just suddenly make concrete, so basically, concrete is made of something, that's made of something, that's made of something natural.

21.

Amazon Rainforest

Now, ever since March 27, 2026, I had a sudden interest in the Amazon Rainforest. Reason: I don't know why...

22.

Nebraska

Nebraska flat, fertile land is perfect for corn and livestock. Who hates corn?

Switzerland. I have been there before and it was so breathtakingly beautiful and amazing that I would go there if I could go anywhere for free. Also I am surprised you didn't feature a section on glaciers. Those big pieces of ice are more than meets the eye and considering the great beauty that glaciers have that is a bold statement.

The flat areas of places like eastern Arizona, the Texas panhandle, and eastern Colorado (coupled with the ugly town names in there, like Seibert, I have no clue where they got that from) make these places that are flat and boring. That would be an interesting blog- the most boring/featureless landscapes on Earth.

I wouldn't exactly call cutting trees 'climate change'

Agreed. The climate change is more a consequence resulting from cutting trees (and a lot more)

Wait, there's no gold at the end of a rainbow? and Unicorns don't exist? But what about the Leprechauns, they're real right ?
