How do I get points? Please explain.

You get points by taking featured quizzes. You can earn a total of 5 points for each quiz. The number of points is based on your percent correct, or your percentile among other users, whichever is higher.

What quizzes will get me points?

Only quizzes that have been featured on the front page are eligible for points. You can see these HERE.

Can I see my points breakdown for each quiz?

Yes! Visit your STATS PAGE.

Do I only get points the first time I take a quiz?

The point total is based on your best score. You can retake the quiz as many times as you want. However, you can only earn a maximum of 5 points per eligible quiz.

Do I get points if I take the quiz untimed?

No.

What's the meaning of all this?

To get a higher LEVEL, duh!

Edit: July 2018. We now require a certain minimum level to comment. This is to prevent low quality, repetitive comments.

What about quizzes in other languages?

Separate points and levels are awarded for Dutch, English, Finnish, French, German, Italian, Polish, Portuguese and Spanish.

My points/level went down. Why do you hate me?

It's not personal. We frequently make updates and revisions to quizzes. This will cause all the scores for that quiz to reset. Sorry! You can view new and recently reset quizzes HERE.

Do I get anything for having a high level?

Bragging rights.
