I like to start by identifying North Dakota, South Dakota, Kansas and Nebraska before I begin so I can link them together quickly and then build west and east from that group. The Dakotas and Kansas look very similar when you are in a hurry, so this has cut down my time significantly. 1:54 is my best time so far.

The game doesn't work on mobile. It tells you this unless you've done "View Desktop Site". The issue is because you have to drag to move pieces, which doesn't work on mobile browsers very well.

Is there any way we can do a version of this with the countries? Maybe since they don't all connect there can be outlines of all the landforms so, for example, the Americas would be outlined and the maritime borders would be outlined for Oceanic countries. Maybe any nation that is too small to see like, smaller than Brunei, perhaps could be in place at the start on not show up at all to avoid confusion. This would make for an amazing challenge and I would personally love to see this!

Well, I still can't finish it, it's taken me 2 days, so I think I have won the prize for time taken. I have one state left but it doesn't fit anywhere, I think it is a glitch on my computer. Most unsatisfying, like missing the last piece of the puzzle. I guess I will quit out and try again. Let's see if I can beat my 2 days record!

It would be awesome to have a country version of this, but fitting 196 countries in a square and the size reduction of countries would make it hard. Also small countries like Singapore, Vatican City, Luxembourg, and Liechtenstien for example.

This exercise made me realize a) I know very little about how state lines are decided, it was all very illogical to me, and b) I spent a good 7 minute going "dela-where"?! with this odd little pixel square of a state. very enjoyable quiz, might have to do it 30-40 more times to pare down my very competitive time of 17:43.
