it does look that way, because the complaint is so patently ridiculous. It mirrors and parodies other similar complaints made by Europeans about quizzes in miles, which were equally ridiculous, though apparently made earnestly.
Whats the difference? Even if the distances were in lightyears, that wouldn't change anything for me, I just visualized the map and tried the capitals that looked "far off"...
I mean, the US + Myanmar + Liberia = 392 114 772 people out of 7 887 410 000 people, which makes 4.97% of the world population, so this quiz was made to be understood by the 95.03% of other people basically, who all use the meter, including every European, which this quiz is more about.
WolfCam: It's also why Malta and Gozo were so strategically important since centuries. In between two continents AND a mandatory path for anybody who wants to sail between Western and Eastern Mediterranean Sea.
I think Malta ought to get bonus points for being completely surrounded by water. Easier to get to Warsaw than Malta. Also some of these places are very connected to the outside world by air routes, others less so.
I am not one of those that think the spelling needs to be 100 percent, and that everything else is false and therefor never should be accepted or you would not learn anything. But this makes a totally different word. Now if you were to ask for Rejkjavik or Reykjavic to be accepted, that I would understand, because it sounds the same and some countries prefer to use c's and others k's and some y's and other j's.
Many of them don't. You must have over a decade of experience in 2 dozen or so Asian countries talking with locals about how far away things are, like I do, and noticed how extraordinarily and noticeably different these concepts were in those places vs the US. That's the sort of insight and perspective one couldn't hope to gain if their entire experience with the continent was one vacation to Thailand. So weird, right? (btw Australia isn't part of America)
Bruh I was about to type Andorra la Vella in the last 2 seconds and I wasn't able to finish it lmao. So I did it on second try, technically first. Good quiz :v)
the country´s capital and the nations capital is the same

Jetpunk accepts just “la Vella” and even “lavela” so type that instead to save time.
