This is a version of our 4th grade class "final exam" on the times tables. The original whopper had 100 questions in 5 minutes, but since that requires redundant questions I reduced the number to 50.
We had this in school too! It was more of a speed test, you had two minutes to do as many as you could. I never reached 120 one per second but another guy and I both got a high score of 108.
I'm loathe to say this, but I think you have allotted too much time. I'm a slow typist, and usually hate the "beat the clock" type quizzes - but with this, I was able to take my time, make a few dumb mistakes, and still finish the quiz.
Jack is correct. "I'm loath to say x" clearly means the sense of 'I'm somewhat unwilling to say x', and this was clearly the intent of the first sentence of Freestatebear's post.
They *also* expressed a dislike of beat the clock quizzes, but they used the word 'hate' there.
I wonder if all this people complaining about too much time are following the instructions and standing on their heads while they type. It's so much more challeging this way!
Challenge accepted though I know I will fail. I was just thinking the time was nice, had enough left but if I would have had less left, my brain would have stopped functioninig with timer stress. When that thing goes under a minute my brain panics haha ( full on cartoon style)
I was actually thinking how nicely balanced this quiz is. Due to major health issues not every thing works as it used to, memory doesnt work as it should calculation speed feels like snail pace, (though others dont notice it too much, unless in case of complete blackout, still near enough average speed, but I feel like it is tumbleweed in slowmotion... a sum taking 5+ seconds instead of 0.5 seconds feels like eons..)
Time was low enough to feel you needed to get a move on, but not so much that you get stressed and your heartrate goes up. It felt like a nice practice for me to get a bit faster at it again.
Considering that 82.6 % of quiz takers answer all the problems in the given time-frame and that you based it on 4th grade math, I would nominate this quiz for the Easy category.
your goldfish called you 4 times?? All during this quiz? Some trust issues, needing to check up on you?
"No really, I was just doing a quiz!" "Ow yea? then why is there a logo of a fish in your bookmarks?" "just admit it, you have been looking at other goldfishes! Or worse! EXOTIC fishes !!!"
it's more difficult to find the numbers on my keyboard than actually doing the math. Then again, i never learned how to type numbers without looking...
I never understood why people find a keypad faster. (In a case like this). All you need to type is numbers, so you can use both hands using th enumbers at the top. (at the right that would get kinda messy imo, you could... but well..)
Because some people *raises hand* never learned to type without looking, except on 9-key number pad which is common for math-heavy work like accounting, statistics, engineering, etc.
There are only 78 possible questions. Even the easiest possible version and the most difficult (however you might define that) are going to have substantial overlap.
I hate to say it, but you were waaaaay off the mark with the amount of time you allow on this quiz. There's no way anyone could finish it in time! I mean, 50 questions in 2:30?? Outrageous! For someone named Quizmaster, I thought that you would be a master at making quizzes. But after taking this quiz I've come to the crushing realization that you are nothing but a Quiz... Quiz... *sob* QuizAMATEUR!!! *runs away in hysterics*
(I'm only kidding. The amount of time you have is fine. If people want a shorter time limit then they can challenge themselves to complete it faster.)

Take off another 30 seconds probably, just because I did it fast doesn't mean other people can't either! (Good quiz btw)
