A weird mob of celebrities. Imagine Dwight Eisenhower, Supreme Commander of the Allied Expeditionary Forces in Europe WW2, President of USA for 8 years and now stuck in with a mob of actors and singers from showbiz except for a man who hits rubber balls about a field and the founder of Communism in China, who could easily link arms with Hitler and Stalin. Is this where the future lies?

And Mao is also part of your actor-singer-mob?

What, never heard of Mao Zedong and the Dongettes? A famous vaudeville act in their day.

"The Hokey Pokey" is a translation of "The Great Leap Forward," originally written to illustrate the principles of dialectical materialism. That is, in fact, what it's all about.

Other than a beauty mark that is further towards the ear, it's remarkable how much Zsa Zsa Gabor looked like Kim Novak.

Lawrence Welk is sort of creepily aggressive with that accordion.

He didn't need the accordion for that.

I'm not sure Eisenhower and Mao are really 'celebrities'. They're more than that surely.

I guessed one of the ones I didn't recognise might well be Lawrence Welk, whose name I only know through Richard Pryor. Unfortunately, I assumed it was spelt Whelk!

More people got Mao than Eisenhower.

That's because Mao is far more significant internationally and historically.

Based on their tenures as leaders of their countries, maybe. But Eisenhower led the D-Day invasion and the defeat of the Nazis. European and perhaps even American history would be very different if the Nazis won the war.

He didn't lead either. The rest of the allies had been fighting the Nazis for over two years before the US could be bothered because their own country had come under attack from Japan

Cannot believe that I only got 50% for Grant. He is one of my favorites; there's no way that I even hesitated to write his name.

Easiest one of these for me, I zipped right through it. (It helped to be born in the 50s and only get one TV channel. It played movies late at night.)

Born in the late 70s and got them all (thank you Nick at Nite for Donna Reed!). Does her show come on in syndication any longer? It's sad how few people got her.

Sad to see Jackie Gleason so low. the Honeymooners was a wonderful show that still holds up today. I used to watch reruns in the 1980s and thought it was as good or better that some of the great TV comedies of the 1980s .

Chuck Berry is featured on Voyager's Golden Record aka "The Sounds of Earth" which is, at present, about ~14.5 billions miles from earth. Pretty cool.
