Invade is not synonymous with "begin hostilities". Russian troops moved in and occupied an area that was previously in Georgia. That is an invasion.

That said, I don't like the Gitmo question, as that nickname is specific to Americans. I recognise it from American TV shows, but I don't know that anyone else in the world calls it that. It's (currently) the least-guessed answer for that reason.

The US Naval base at Guantanamo Bay has been called Gitmo long before they put terrorists in prison there. I was in the Navy in the 80's and we called it Gitmo then.

The Taliban is not a terrorist group per se. Al Qaeda, Al Shabab and ISIS are. It's definitely related, but the Taliban is broader than that. I'd just call it an Islamic fundamentalist, militant group - or something like that.
