For one who was a teenager in the 60s, 15/20 ain't bad.

Dubstep isn't a Jamaican music genre--it originates in the UK, but evolved from dub and reggae (which is a Jamaican music genre)...

Any reason some of these questions are worded in the past tragic tense? It makes it sound like the Jonas brothers and Lady Gaga are all deceased, that Coldplay broke up, and that Shakira's hips suddenly started lying at some point. (Kudos on the wording of the Justin Nieber question though! Too bad you couldn't have situated HIM squarely in the past tense.)

It also makes it sound like some shadowy organization added Fergie to BEP against her will.

It's a quiz, it shouldn't be an editorial.

Because the quiz was about events that happened between 13 and 23 years ago. That's the past tense.

I'm here only trying to prove my intellectual superiority by announcing that I have never heard of any of these so called "bands" or "artists".

If you were a child or teenager in the 2000s, knowledge of a lot of these was pretty much inescapable regardless of intellectual capacity.

I was unfortunately nowhere near being a teenager in the 2000s but still got 18.

Dubstep is influenced by Jamaican dance music but calling it Jamaican would not be accurate.

Dubstep = Dub Reggae (Jamaican) + 2 Step garage (not Jamaican)

Got them all except for Arcade Fire. Never heard of the albuim Neon Bible before. Was it big?

It was "big" in the sense that it got rave reviews and audiophiles gush over it. Their following album, the Suburbs, was a little bigger and won Album of the Year at the Grammys. Certainly not a smash on the level of the other artists named, but definitely fair game for trivia, I think.

the low percentage of people who got the answer to the Neon Bible question is very disturbing. one of the best records of the 2000s!
