Well, the alternative was far worse: Bolsonaro and to be eliminated by Argentina.

Does becoming the 6th most populous country in the world really count as news? Maybe to JetPunkers, but I doubt Nigerians were celebrating in the street at the moment they passed Brazil in population.

Also, Sri Lanka would have been a good addition.

Of course it's news. The clue said nothing about Nigerians celebrating in the streets, or that it was good news.

After researching it further, looks like the Canadian side is officially part of Canada proper (part of the territory of Nunavut), but the Danish side is officially part of Greenland, so not part of Denmark proper. You probably (thankfully) don't have to reset a few dozen border quizzes! ;)

They're so poor and have several conflicts that younger population would seek any way to leave this country, causing massive migration crises in many developed countries
+2
Level 72
Mar 12, 2024
Of course someone goes straight to immigration and not the obvious question of whether or not Nigeria can support a population of that size.

why do you seem more worried about the migration crisis affecting the developed countries than what is happening there...?
+12
Level 83
Dec 28, 2022
'Developed' countries really need an influx of younger people right now. 'Developing' countries will suffer far more from their loss than we will from their gain. Unless you're a xenophobe I guess

Thanks for mentioning the Canadian truckers protesting against the vaccine mandates. This event was unreported in the world press, as were the many, many other vaccine mandate protests worldwide, attended by thousands, in Europe, South America, the USA, Australia and even China. Here in the UK, thousands of NHS workers marched last year and managed to overturn the mandates for NHS workers, this of course included many doctors and nurses.

This might be nit-picky, but I somehow interpreted "this country has three different Prime Ministers and two different monarchs" to mean **at this same time.** I think "had" would be more grammatically correct.

"Has" during that year, not necessarily meaning "at the same time", which the expression does not imply in any way. Notice how the other entries are also in present tense.
